"On Nov. 15, 2013 I placed an order with SJ Discount tools in the amount of $154.49, about a week later I received the tools,3 tools I ordered were incorrect and one of the tools I ordered I NEVER received. I tried calling but you only get a voice mail box and they never call you back, I emailed them 3 times and they still have not answered me back. I am trying to return the incorrect tools and get the one's I ordered but it seems impossible to do this since no one ever gets back to you. My next step Is to report this bogus company to the Better Business Bureau! Please anyone looking to buy tools from them "DO NOT" they seem to be a scam company! Once you purchase your items you NEVER hear back from them!"
"Five days after placing an order, I got in touch with them by email (only way to do so) - there was a relatively quick reply that they had to check what was happening with my order. I checked reviews on line and got a bit worried. Emailed them again and said if I wasn't contacted within the hour, the order was to be cancelled. An hour later, I sent another email stating that the order was to be cancelled as they could not or would not tell me where the order was. NO response was received until 4 days later when two emails came in - the first from SJ Discount saying the passed the order on to a sister company and they would fulfill it. The second was from the "sister company" saying that they were handling the order. So, my credit card info was passed along to another business without my approval and after a cancellation of that order. Some quick work at that time threatening to get my state's AG and the better business bureau on this along with disputing any charges as unauthorized from this company got faster results. An email was received confirming a cancellation of the item. Now, I have to wait a day or so to insure that the charge has been removed from my credit card. NO STARS!!!

"They're horrible. Took my ordered, didn't send the parts, debited my account in January 2013 still not tools, Said they were back ordered. I told them in May 2013 to cancel my order and return my money. Still no product and no money. THis company is STEALING, MISREPRESENTING THEIR SERVICES, THEFT BY TAKING, AND FRAUD,. I 'v filed my complaint with the BBB and the Ohio AG office; however, I think we need a group of people who have been harmed in order to make this real. My $86.85 isn't the issue anymore for me. These guys took my money after my CC purchase and never sent the items. The way they handled my repeated attempts to resolve the issue was to block my email.

You have to email them over and over and they give you a BS reason why they can't send you the part. Then they acually ask you what you want to do. Ummmm....maybe have my fricken money back HELLO!! Seventeen days later, I still don't have the stool. I have called repeatedly, only to get an automated answering system with no opportunity to speak to a human being. I have left several messages and sent several emails. I have received no communication from them at all. I have since cancelled the order, again by phone message and email, and had to dispute the charge on my credit card, which was charged by SJ Discount Tools on the day the order was placed. How any company can stay in business with this kind of customer service is beyond me."

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. After they gladly take your order, you can forget about getting any help. I placed an order 2 weeks ago and still have not received the order. They had no problem taking my money but of course didn't ship the product. Their email does not work and customer service will not speak with you nor will they connect you to a supervisor. BBB on this company is bad also, they have over 133 complaints. So if you just feel like giving them money and not getting anything in return then I would suggest keeping away from this company."
"I purchased a spark plug extractor tool for my new bmw. I needed the tool pretty quickly so I will admit I was a tad nervous about purchasing from sj tools because the price and the shipping was very low compared to everywhere else.
I went through with the purchase and could not be happier. The tools came well packaged and with warranty info and all invoices. It tools me 3 days to get my tool. I will definitely be purchasing from them again, thanks again"
"SCAMMERS!! 7 weeks after paying them over $700 I have yet to receive a single item I ordered. 4 times I've been told my order is "due to ship this week", but I've got nothing but delays and excuses. "I don't know what to say, I received excellent customer service from SJ Discount Tools. After placing an order I panicked after reading all the negative reviews here.
I contacted the company, asking if I could cancel. The company assured me that was not necessary and that the item was shipping the same evening.
So I was cautious and waited. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when my order arrived as promised with no issues.
Order placed on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday.
The company responded to all of my emails very promptly and provided me with a UPS tracking #.
So I don't know, my experience turned out great. I think it really has to do with the demand for the item you're ordering. I ordered an Anest-Iwata Spray Gun. I don't think the item is in high demand and explains why my item was immediately available. It arrived and was genuine Anest-Iwata.
Overall I'm pleased with my experience, got exactly what I wanted for a good price. I saved at least $50 over other online stores.

"I really wish I would have read reviews before purchasing from S&J's tools. I am having the same issue as most of the customers here. I ordered over a week ago, no update, and nobody contacted me to say why it was taking so long to ship out. I e-mailed them to see what the status was and was informed then that the products were backordered. I wish I would have known sooner as I would have just cancelled the order. These same items are in stock at other vendors, but I thought I would give S&J a shot because they were a few dollars cheaper. SPEND SLIGHTLY MORE AND GO WITH A WELL ESTABLISHED COMPANY!"
