"I was looking for memory upgrade for my iMac computer and came across SMS Assembly. They had the best price by just a few dollars, but no tax and only $3 shipping. I placed my order even though the flow and continuity of their site was horrible and amateurish. After finally successfully placing my order, I started searching around on their site. I finally realized that they are a 'recycler' of IT materials and called them to find out if I was buying a new module or a recycled one. With some verbal persuasion on the phone, I finally discerned that what they intended on shipping me was indeed not a new unit but rather one recycled from old equipment they buy. NOWHERE on the page from which I ordered did it mention this. There probably is nothing wrong with the product, but this explains their better price than most who are selling new product. Seen in that light, the difference in price was not worth it to me so I cancelled my order. The mere fact they tried to obfuscate what they actually do totally turned me off. If it is important to your decision making process, make sure you know if they are selling you new or recycled."
"Charged for shipping but best price on the internet for my DDR2.. Prompt shipping..Reliable for my one order"
"I ordered SDRAM for an older computer that I had put off upgrading because this type of memory had not come down in price. Seeing a good price at their web site, I ordered it. They claim a $1.00 for shipping by first class USPS mail, with a $1.00 handling charge. It wasn't until I got to the final page of the order process that I saw the $2.00 handling charge. Even so, $3.00 is not bad for shipping and handling.
I was also concerned a bit by the shipping page which says "SMS Memory not responsible for parts. " whatever that means. It also says, "Must allow 10 days for delivery." That seems rather excessive but in reality they shipped my order the same day and I had it three days later... not bad for USPS from Florida to Maryland.
So all's well that ends well! I just wish they would fix their web pages.
