Don't know that it's not in stock???!!!

"Placed an order on a Sunday hoping to get a scope by the following Friday. Then I was told on Monday that it wasn't in stock. Burned a day. Why couldn't they tell me before I clicked the order button that it wasn't in stock. Had to order the same scope from a competitor with two day shipping just so I could receive it in time. A little annoying. SWFA need to update their inventory tracking to their web site."

A 3 that could have easily been a 5!

"I had two recent orders so not clear which this survey corresponds.

The 31 JAN order was a 5. All electronic - Seemless.
The mid-JAN order was a 3. Trade, lengthy/lacked attention.

Overall, I trust that there are some people at SWFA that are committed to relentlessly supporting top-notch customer experiences. There are also people at SWFA that don't share that degree of commitment. No doubt everyone SWFA knows who cares more and cares less. I've experienced both at SWFA.

Organizationally, it all boils down to having the right people in the right place to execute the service support workflows. It's apparent that SWFA has some of the right people, but they can't be everywhere at all times. The service people are too inconsistent in attitudes. Ideal is for everyone for all of it to smell the same - Pleasant, prompt, clear... Strive for the same high level expectation system, no exceptions. Being too spread thin on manpower is always a decision made at the customers' expense.

On the service side, I suggest hiring people that have a heart for service. Start at the highest level of service leadership. Don't let those who don't share that attitude deal with customer relational matters (questions, support, order execution). Telling a customer that his order will be a week or two behind because "everyone is at the Shot Show" is equal to "...the Shot Show is more important to us than you are."

Important: My order experience is a 3 because of a rough start (total lack of correspondence). Two people at SWFA stepped up to get things underway. Either is a hero or recovered his own lack of attention. All ended OK. Products are great!
