"They have a special buy $249 you get a free fish. I chose a blue hippo tang. I thought, these guys are usually $100 easily. So I received my package, the blue tang was dead in the bag. I did what I was supposed to and they told me I could get a free one on my next order. I told them I will not be placing a next order because I don't have $200 for another order nor the room in my fish tank for more. I told them I would like a replacement sent. They said too bad so sad we don't do that for free fish. So, I spent more than I wanted to , to get the free fish, then I don't even get to enjoy it since it was dead. I guess they didn't specify if the free fish was going to be dead or alive so there's that. It's a scam. A dead fish is a dead fish, it should be replaced. If I sent a broken item to a buyer, I would have to send out a replacement. That's how fair customer service works. Not here though. Don't spend your money here. "
"I ordered a baby 3 inch Magnificent Foxface for $130. What arrived the next day was a full grown 7 inch adult. When I contacted them, they were looking into a replacement and "special housing" for the wrong fish they sent. They even wrote on the bag "3-inch Foxface." So they obviously knew what they were doing.
I explained that I couldn't house this big of a fish and was planning to upgrade my tank in about a year. Then I heard nothing back for the next few days after repeated emails and unanswered calls.
I filed a PayPal dispute and that day I heard back from them. They said they were working on a fix but I had to cancel the dispute if they were to continue. So why couldn't you update me on the situation when I tried contacting you? I explained they had ignored me for days and they had 10 days with PayPal to rectify the situation. I wasn't canceling the dispute because once it's canceled it cannot be reopened. I didn't want to leave myself with no recourse in case they continued to ignore me.
I told them to fix the problem and you have 10 days to do it. They didn't even try 1 day during the dispute to fix their mess up. They refunded my money and left me stuck with a fish I couldn't properly house.
After this experience, I left a negative review on their website explaining the situation. The review was deleted within hours.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LIARS AND CHEATS. They obviously cared nothing for the animal they sent and knowingly tried to deceive me, the customer. You've been warned!
Edit: After rechecking the tracking number, they had the fish drop-shipped from somewhere else. The company is in Florida, but the fish was shipped out of California. "
