"Sam's Club on Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville, Florida is disorganized and very poorly run. I have gone there a few times with my brother who has a business membership. I live in a rural community and do not get into town enough to make it worth buying a membership. However, each time I have been there we have had one or more issues. There has never been any shopping carts available at the front entrance. The staff is rude and cannot seem to answer any questions. On my last visit the morning of 7/25/09, I tried to purchase a $1,000 sectional sofa. But they would not allow me to write a check because I was not a member. They only said that I could use a debit card. So, they did not care that I wasn't a member, they only wanted to make sure I gave them immediate cash. I did not have my debit card on me so I asked if I could just purchase a membership on the spot in order to just get the sofa. They said I would have to go to the Customer Support desk - which meant I would have had to get out of line, get the membership and then come back to purchase the couch - they would not just let me pay for a membership at the checkout counter and do the paperwork afterwards. So, I ended up just leaving without the sofa and without doing a membership. Their lack of flexibility has cost them a large purchase and the loss of a customer. It has also cost them a business member as my brother was also irritated and has vowed to never return. I spoke to the manager who basically blew me off. Instead of saving the purchase and gaining a happy customer, he chose to just dismiss me. Oh well, as a business member my brother is there a few times a week. His membership is about to expire and he is moving to Costco. I will never again go to Sam's Club or Walmart again."

I placed this order for a set of tires at samsclub.com on 12/23/08. I was initially told the tiers were scheduled to be delivered at my local club on 1/2/09 and the local club would call me. I never received any call from either the web store or local club. I sent a message through their website and called both Sams club 888 number and local store and every time I had different answer. It seemed no one knew what is going on. The local club stated they had no access to even look at my order. People at the 1-888 number change their story every single time when I called. They told me I had to call back during their regular hours (8-5 EST) so that they could contact the vender, but I called Michelin myself in the evening and Michelin takes calls until 8pm. They then said the order had been canceled by the vender. However, I have never been contacted by anyone and the order status remains "IN PROCESS" even up to today.
The bottom line is Sam’s Club does not treat their customers with respect or decency, but frustrations.

"Purchased 4 tires on 9/2/06. All 4 tires are now dry rotted. Sam's in Evansville Indiana tells me they can't replace them due to improper maintenance and ozone. It does NOT matter if proper maintenance was done or not. Tires should NOT dry rot in 2 years. This is clearly a manufacture defect and they won't stand behind it.
This is the first issue I've ever had with Sam's Club. And I can NOT believe what horrible customer service I have gotten on this matter.
Years ago I worked for Sam's Club in Madison Heights, Michigan. And I KNOW we stood behind manufacture's defect and warranties. In fact we even took returns for items that came from others stores like Sears and Kmart. We did this to make our customers happy.

"Bought a 17 inch laptop for $1050 with a 3 year warranty for $198. I had problems after one year with a usb port. Sam's gave me instructions to send it off for repairs. 2 weeks later I got a call and the repair company just said sorry it's not neglect but we won't fix it. Sam's just said sorry too. This company does not live up to warranty on elctronics. Don't buy big items as they don't honor the warranty."

"After emailing them several times to see if my order was in stock I got an email on April 9th that my order has been filled and should be shipped out within a few business days. Which was a straight out lie. I checked the website everyday since April 9th to see what the status is with my order and nothing has changed. April 18, I called customer service to find out the order has not been filled and there is no way to find out when it will be shipped. This experience has been very unprofessional and inconvenient. All the communication on the website, and with customer service has been inadequate and confusing. The process of purchasing an item on your website has definitely been more of a hassle and no way close to the convenience as expected. I still have not received anything about my order even after filling out Resolution Tickets. Very tempted to cancel my order but scared I will get screwed over with the return and refund."
"This was my second order on Sam's Club, and both were processed quickly, shipped within one day of placing the order, received promptly. Good communication from them letting me know about the order status and shipping tracking. Will certainly be ordering from them again."
"SAMSCLUB.COM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! I placed an order on 9/5/06 and to this date, 9/21/06 have not recieved my package (it went to Florida not Pennsylvania where I live). My money was refunded with no explanation and with no instructions telling me to reorder. I took the refund as a means of apologising for still not having recieved my package. I've called customer service four times, spoke with a manager twice, and each time I am promised an email to explain to me what is going on. To date I have not recieved any of the four promised emails, and I have not yet been told what is being done to correct the situation. Further, every time I call I'm told that I need to re-order, I disagree because I was not informed to do so in the refund e-mail, then after being on hold, I'm told that my order will be re-shipped. I wish I would have read reviews of samsclub.com before I ordered something online. I will not make the same mistake again, and I will not extend my Sam's Club membership after it expires. Find another supplier, the savings isn't worth the inconvience!"
"I was very satisfied with my online Sam’s Club order. I ordered a Lexmark P4350 All-In-One printer on 3/31/06. Normally I would just go to my local Sam’s Club to purchase it but they did not carry this particular printer. I promptly received an order conformation. I chose free shipping which said (7-10 days) and received it in 3 days.
Printer was in perfect condition and have had no problems. I would order from Sam’s Club Online again.

"Great price on tires for my car, and when I brought my wheels in to have the new tires installed (I don't like anyone messing with my lugnuts, so I brought the wheels in by themselves), it took 20-25 min for it to be done. Service was very friendly, and the guys seemed to know what they were doing."
