"On February 11, 2011 I placed an order for a Nikon d3100 body and was told it is in stock and will ship within 48 hours. One week later, I was told that my order was "slight backorder" and "will ship by 25th to the 28th of February. On March 1st, I called and was told that my order was "4 to 6 weeks backorder". I have called multiple times and asked to speak to a manager and was immediately routed to a voice mail box.
No one ever returns the phone calls or replies to my emails.
This company is NOT RECOMMENDED!!! They not only have horrible customer service, but have tried to "bait and switch" me on 2 occasions.
I am currently in contact the the State of California Attorney Generals office and the BBB filing complaints."
"Like the other reviewer, I ordered a camera package from saveritephoto.com because it was cheap and I could afford it. I ordered it on November 28, 2010 and have not yet received it. I didn't know you had to call in to confirm, because they send you a confirmation email that just thanks you for the order. I checked back a week later onto their site's order status and it says, "Call to confirm." So I had to hunt around their site to find a number, to which I finally found and confirmed the order on the phone. I assumed the camera came with the battery and everything, only to find that the guy on the phone said it didn't. I told him, "Why would you sell a camera without the battery?" and he tried to sell me the battery and charger separately for an additional $100. (You can find a battery for a Canon t2i for about $30 elsewhere.) I declined and kept the order.
Almost a month later they sent me an email saying it would be an additional 6-8 weeks. I replied saying I was hoping I'd have it for Christmas, and asked if it was really another 6-8 weeks since it had already almost been a month, or if I only had 3-4 weeks left. No reply. It's January 3, 2011, and my item is still "backordered".
Never buy from SaveRitePhoto or Supreme Camera!"
"This place is a joke! Do not order from these snakes! I wanted to get a digital camera for my wife for Christmas, so I found the best price. After I made the original order, they sent an email saying that I needed to confirm the order. So when I did, the guy (because they never tell you who you're talking to) said that the package I ordered was all outdated and not adequate for anyone who's serious about taking pictures. I blew him off and told him that they probably shouldn't sell products that aren't any good. I told him to leave the order alone. He said that I'd get another email to confirm. Never got it, a week later I called to find out when it was shipped, so that I would know what day to expect it, becsuse after all, it's a gift! The girl (?) told me it's on backorder and that it would be shipped on Dec. 7 and I'd have it by Christmas. After all of that I still never got an email for verification. I called back today and spoke to some guy (?) who was eating potato chips and very rude! When I told him that I was told my order would be sent out Dec. 7, he said that it would be 6 to 8 weeks. He then asked me who told me this, and what could I say? We then proceeded to have an arguement and he said that he'd cancel the order.
They strip down the basic camera and give you a good price on it. Then they try to sell back to you, all the stuff that's supposed to come with it, batteries, chargers, software, etc. They try to sell all the accessories at outrageous prices, and when you decline, they put your order on backorder and you'll never get it!
You're better off to spend a bit more and know that you're getting what you're paying for.
I also cancelled the credit card that I used."
