My only complaint is that from order placed to actual shipping, it takes 48+ hours. We live in fast times, speed is everything. "I've placed quite a few orders from Scale Hobbyist and have never had any problems. I have dealt with their friendly and helpful customer service a few times. On one I sent an item back and was quickly refunded my purchase price, and on another I caught a mistake(mine) on the email confirmation, emailed them and they fixed the problem before it was shipped. One time, I ordered an item that was not in stock (computer error) and they bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied.

My only complaints(nitpicks) are relatively slow shipping (little over a week usually), poor descriptions of the products (I have to research the products on other sites, sometimes leading to a sale at the competition) and small pictures of the products, if one is even available.

Other than that, I very much enjoy doing business with Scale Hobbyist and their prices are great."

"I have placed two orders with this store in the past month, one for a few model kits, and one for paint. Excellent prices on everything, lower than anyone else I could find, and the shipping was a reasonable flat rate as well.

Both orders arrived in full, well packed and undamaged. What was a little odd was that in both cases I selected standard ground shipping (which advertised delivery in 3-7 business days), but the first order took 2 days to arrive, and the second took 6. There seems to be some variability in shipping times, but everything shipped and arrived within the times quoted.

All in all a good experience, and I'll be ordering again."

"I do get nervous when sites have no feedback on rr.com, so i looked around various forums and the bbb.org and the business looked legit.
They were accreditied by the bbb on 4-08 (company has to be up for 3 years, have proper business license, have addressed all issues resolved to the bbb in a satisfactory manor, etc)
I ordered the very fragile item (bare metal foil) on may-31st (saturday), and on tuesday i still had no confirmation from them.
I emailed them on wednesday and asked if my order was processed, so they explained to me that they often have problems with yahoo receiving emails from them, but my order was processed and shipped.
I received the product on monday june 9th. I payed only for standard shipping, so the time it took was not a problem (if i would ever pay for a faster shipping service, i would call the day after the item was ordered to ensure its being processed in a timely manner).
The delicate foil was packed very well and arrived with no major problems. metal foil seems like the minute it leaves the manufacturing center it wrinkles, but there were no significant issues from the seller.
