"The screen of my laptop simply died without warning -- was working fine in the afternoon, came back in the evening and it had become a vertical and horizontal plaid of bluisih-grey tones. The laptop is just over 1 year old and had just gone out of warranty, so I would have to fix it myself.

After ruling out the graphics card/motherboard by attaching an external monitor that worked fine, narrowed it down to the screen or video cable. I searched online and found a few possible vendors. ScreenCountry's price was within a dollar or so of the lowest priced vendor, and while it didn't have free shipping like the lowest-price vendor, it offered a 3-Year warranty whereas the competition only had 1-year. That clinched it for me. It only cost about $12 to ship, and since, in the past, I've had a monitor on my desktop and touchscreen on a cell phone each die within 1 year, it was worth the small extra cost. From experience, it appears that if the device can make it past 2 years, then it'll be around for the long haul.

The first screen that ScreenCountry sent had a faulty pixel and after some attempts to unstick it with software, ScreenCountry replaced it without issue and picked up the return shipping charge for the faulty screen. I was impressed with their customer service, sending the replacement before even getting the original back, and not causing any hassle about it whatsoever.

"I purchased two screens from Screencountry in the last two months and can honestly say that ordering both times was quick and easy. They kept us aware of shipping and delivery timing. Upon receipt the packaging was great and the install on both Dell units was quite simple. I do recommend a very small phillips magnetic screw driver, keep track of screw locations and don't press where it says don't press. It was completely uneventful for me. Thanks
