I spent nearly 350 dollars for the Scuf instinct pro controller. I've owned it for a week. It came broken! LT button doesn't always work. It randomly disconnects even though it says its still connected and it came with stick drift. What's the point of the testing phase if when they send it its broken? Its like they didn't test it. Then I tried to send it in for repairs (which for 350$ I shouldn't have to do at all) and it was a stupid migraine of a process that i dont have time to do. Crazy that for 350$ you get a broken product. I can see the advantages of a controller like this but its clear this company is here for the money and not the quality of their product. Be cautious when buying.

Not worth it! Buy something else!

"I bought a controller back in Dec 22. I need a repair and for 3 weeks I've gotten nothing. Almost 400 on what? A company that lies and robs their customers? Pretty much! My son was so excited and now super disappointed and so am I. Wish I went with a more reputable company. "

DO Not Purchase!!!!

"I generally do not write reviews, however, the level of dissatisfaction I have for this company, I wanted to forewarn anyone who may be considering purchasing such a "premium" high-end controller, and wasting their money as I have done so. First, I ordered two controllers (4/14/2022), one for myself and the other for my friend. After spending $536.00 in total, I thought I was set.

Scuf Gaming decided to contact me less than 3 months later stating "due to a technical issue" sales tax was not collected. WITHOUT WARNING, they took it upon themselves to automatically charge the credit card I used to purchase the controllers to collect an additional $36.00 for sales tax. I did not authorize a charge nor did I give them permission to charge my credit card THREE MONTHS after I made a purchase.

8/2022, I began having a great deal of "drift stick", something that I thought would be avoided with a premium controller. Since it was still within its "very limited" 6 month warrantee, I sent it out for repair. It took approximately 3 1/2 weeks to receive my controller back.

10/2022, certain buttons would freeze mid game, causing me to have to turn off the controller and turn back on, or connect the charger mid-game in order to fix the problem. This became very annoying especially during a game like MW2.

After reaching out to the service department, (which is very difficult to do, as they take anywhere between 1-2 days to respond), I was not getting any assistance. I was told it was out of warrantee and I would need to pay to ship the item to them, pay for the repair, and pay to receive the controller back. I told them, at the time the item may have ONLY been out of warrantee by a day of so, however, they did not want to help me. Customer service even ended a chat on me multiple times, even after I tried to explain my situation to them. After looking online people spent anywhere around $75 - $150 for repair and shipping costs, which I felt was unfair and not right especially after spending the amount of money on the initial charge.

I continued using the controller until approximately 2/7/2023, and now the R2 trigger is not functioning properly. I am BEYOND infuriated at the quality of this product and even more irritated how this company does not stand behind its products. Do your research, I guarantee you will see multiple issues with the qualify in the controller, their lack of customer service, and the fact that they do not stand behind their products.

"I would give Scuf Gaming 0 Stars if it would be possible.

My Scuf Reflex FPS is 8 month old and since 5 days R2 button is not working any more. Legally they have to (for free) repair, replace or give money back. Instead, they are demanding 40€ for the repair and ignore EU Law regarding 2 year warranty. (The 180 days are wrong)

I am going to make an official complaint to the EU Consumer protection agency, and I recommend all customers with the same experience to do so as well. I might not help you or me, but at some point, Karma will get them.

Bad business practice and a poorly built controller

"Bought a scuf in Nov 2021, and it worked well until early may 2022. They said I could send it back for repair with the range typically being $19-100. Surprise! Mine was $100!! For some flickering when moving. So I sent it back at my cost, and paid return shipping plus insurance. After I got it back 1 month later, I find out it’s not compatible with the ps5 I purchased (my fault). So a week or two pass and I get an email saying they forgot to charge the tax on the item I have in my possession and they would be charging my card to cover the $6.37. I replied with “I am ok with paying the charge but want my card taken off their system”. They replied with I had to take my card off their system and they couldn’t (pretty generic reply from a bad company). So I attempt to navigate their site as they gave no direction to where I should go except a link to scufgaming.com and try to login. Wrong password so I try again and get locked out. At the end of the day I try to login and click “forgot password” only to find out I am still locked out. A few days later I get a second email stating again that they made a mistake and I will be charged the tax. At this point I’m confused as to why I would get the same email about being charged. And it seems like a scam. So I had to call my credit card company and ask them to put a block on any further scuf transactions. Probably wasn’t the best to demand $6.37 from a client who had spent nearly $400 on a piece of trash controller. Guess I’ll toss this junk and keep using my 15 year old ps4 controller that has no issues. Thanks for clarifying your business model scuf. Never again will I as much as say a decent word about your company. "

They don't back their junk products.

"I bought a Vantage 2 back in May of 2020, the joysticks had me doing nonstop 360s straight out of the box. I submitted a return and never returned it because I was lazy... Whatever. I decided to give Scuf another chance, ordered a Prestige back in October. The controller was fine, despite the fact that I'm on my third set of outer paddles in under 6 months, with the third already cracking. April 10th, 2021(warranty expired April 12th), I was in the middle of playing Warzone and the inner part of my left joystick just snapped while I was running around... The controller is now unusable, with less than 6 months moderate use. Submitted for warranty, received an email with RMA number, also stating that once warranty status was confirmed, I would receive another email with return instructions. Never received the second email, got busy with business travel. Inquired about the status of the RMA, was told it expired and I had to submit another request. They're now telling me the controller is not covered, despite the fact that I submitted before warranty expiration and never received return instructions past the RMA number. I really wanted to like their products, but for paying almost $200 for a controller, this is ridiculous.. I could see if I played all day every day like a lot of these content creators who supposedly use these controllers with no issues, but I literally only have time to play like 2 or 3 hours a week.."

Customer service = HORRENDOUS. Product is faulty

"My prior customer service was poor.

Refusal to fix faulty product from day 1.

Controller had stick drift, buttons not working fully and headphone issues out of the box. All reported on receipt, no replacement sent.

Shouldn’t have to wait 4 months to receive a faulty product then be told to wait another month for it to be repaired. Brand new products should not be repaired they should be replaced.

Quality control at manufacturer clearly didn’t take place.

Scuf now ignoring all my attempts to resolve issue.

Controller is Defiecent

"I bought a scuf controller (4PS Pro) for $270... it arrived and the L1 did not work. This is unacceptable if im spending that much money. DO NOT BUY SCUF CONTROLLERS... they are defiencent and LOTS of people have issues within the first 3 months."

Just Horrible Customer Service

"Just horrible customer service. Very happy to help and take your money. Wait until you try to get help!!!!
We are trying to PAY for out of warranty repair and they wont even answer our emails. AND...no phone or email on website...just WEAK. You can do better, after all this is for the kids.

Horrible cheap controller

"Absolute scam. Received a broken no functional controller. Controller felt like a cheap $20 knock off. Companies horrible customer service refused to give full refund for a defective controller even though their policy clearly states that restocking fee is waived if a controller is defective. I recommend an Xbox Elite controller over Scuf. "

Scuf are Genuinely a Terrible Company

"Reading the reviews here honestly just makes me sad that stupid past me didn't stumble upon this before purchasing. Basically same story as everyone else: $200+ controller stopped working after a handful of months and despite being within the warranty range and patiently waiting months for emails back from customer support they refused to repair my controller let alone give me my money back. They did offer that I pay upwards of $100 for them to repair it for me, like I'm about to double down on a dead investment.
Companies like Scuf make me question the legality of their operations, surely there should be some legislation regarding the Quality control of their products and the fact that so many customers can receive non-functioning products and never see their money or even a repair. I've never missed my money I've spent on something more than this.

"I got scuf Vantage 1 for my PS4. The cable was not good or faulty and it kept disconnecting my controller and I had to wait literally 2 months for a replacement. One of the slowest customer service I ever have seen. But do I regret buying it? Not really! Very cool idea but their controllers quality is not good despite what you might think. Sometimes I press X and press something else for me randomly. My other three friends got different controllers too and they all had some sort of issues as well. "
