"Great! My Via Venezia came as expected. I had a problem when first set up simply because I had failed to completely, completely close the steam valve. I called SCG, got thru on the first try and she guessed the problem immediately and I was making coffee within a couple minutes! If I had purchased from a department store I would probably have taken the unit back my now and been in a very frustrated bad mood."

"I was very impressed with Seattle Coffee Gear during my shopping experience. Their online videos of equipment and techniques were very helpful and inviting. I found their prices comparable to other online retailers. Unfortunately I made a $2000 mistake and ordered a the wrong machine (Cellini vs Giotto trim) due to the setup of their search engine and my lack of familiarity with the trim details on the options. When I finally caught my mistake and called the machine was well on the way and I was told that free shipping wouldn't be available for the exchange. At that time I was told the bottomless portafilter was included in both machines but I didn't receive it with the Cellini. I left a message with sales (they automatically shift to the recorder after a while on hold, it appears) however no one ever contacted me.
Overall I still value and would recommend SCG but the experience hasn't been a good as it should have been. "
