"The online ordering process was very straight forward. I answered the questions exactly as asked. Having made numerous cabinets, furniture pieces, wall units, built-in closets, etc. over a 25 year span, I know how to work a tape measure. After I submitted my order, I started with receiving a series of questions. The first one did not bother me. There are two windows that are next to each other in the same room, divided by a 6 inch spacer. Well, one window opening (on an inside mounted shudder) was a quarter inch smaller than the other. I accounted for that in the measurements that I sent in. I chalk up the 1/4 inch difference to the fact that these were two completely separate windows, and the windows were built in used 2 separate headers. It effectively is a rough carpentry "rounding error". Well, that was far too difficult of a concept for them to process. They kept on following up with me. At one point, they wanted me to measure from the floor to the window sill. On an inside installation where both windows sit on the same sill, why do you need to know the distance from the floor to the sill? That measurement is irrelevant. At that point, they might of well asked me to take a measurement of the bedroom door. It has nothing to do with the measurements I submitted. Between the ongoing irrelevant questions and the grammatically incorrect e-mails that I realized this was a company I did not want to work with and canceled my order and went with a different company. The other company just received my measurements without question and I am in production the next day. I even saved $300."
