"While the product ordered was as promised, and installed correctly, the customer service experience was some of the worst we've ever encountered. After being quoted a $68 price, instead of the $70 posted on the website, and being told the lower price would be honored, we were charged the higher price. I had added a note to the order citing the quote from the alleged 'sales manager' and that they would honor it. Upon asking for a $2 credit to our PayPal account (which I know can be done), I was told that they would credit it on our 'next order'. Telling them that there would be no 'next order' led to a series of clueless responses that had us believing that there was, in reality, no human responding to the emails. For the price of two bucks, they have lost any future business, and are now subject to this revealing of their completely unresponsive customer service.
UPDATE on Review Experience:
I was contacted by Michelle at ServerSupply Customer Service almost immediately after posting this review. She was quite apologetic about the whole debacle and promptly refunded more than the difference in the quoted v. charged price. So- while the initial experience was quite frustrating, the ensuing response was personable, effective and responsive. As their prices are very good compared to other vendors, they may get future business from us, but not without making sure that a real person is doing follow-up! Kudos to Michelle for being that real person! "

"I ordered a new LSI 9260-8i card from Server Supply earlier this year, and it was as expected. I bought a refurb unit from them just last week and although it had the standard 'Image may not exactly match product' disclaimer, the part I got was just the bare card - not even the slot cover bracket to secure the card in a computer. I understand it wouldn't ship with the extra backup battery in the picture, but no slot cover bracket? No mention of this in the description at all?
