7% of $29.99 is only $2.00

"I understand that this forum may be dedicated to complaints about the Company's customer service, but I have to say that I've been one of the lucky ones- I received my shipment in a timely manner and it contained what I ordered. My complaint (well not so much a complaint, as much as it is an observation, a dissapointing observation) is concerning the amounts being donated. As explained by the title of the review, 7% of the average priced shirt of $29.99 is just $2.00-- $2.0993 according to my calculations. This did not sit well with me. Let me explain, I jumped on the Sevenly bandwagon pretty early, my first purchase was made in late 2012. At the time, they offered only T-shirts and supported one cause per week. Their website had a countdown clock letting visitors know how much time they had to left to purchase the item (typically 7 days) and informed you about the cause. T-shirts cost about $27, of which $7 or 25.9% was donated to the cause. You'd get a cool t-shirt and make a donation, it felt great to make a difference (at least I thought so). I hadn't been on their website in a while and decided recently to revisit them. I was impressed, they now offered more varieties, supported more causes, the prices may have change but this was clearly a vast improvement, UNTIL I noticed that they now only donated 7% of the purchase price to the causes. What a dissapointment. The t-shirts were no longer worth it, it seemed like the purchase would just be a self-congratulating token to show others that I care, that I am conscious of my world and environment, that I am 'woke' without making a significant difference in the cause that I claim to champion with my expensive t-shirt. "

Wrong order and nonexistent customer service!!

"I ordered two items... one shirt came in the wrong size (small instead of xl) and the other NEVER came! There is NO PHONE NUMBER for customer service, only email. I emailed to tell them about the size mistake so I could get the right size but never got a response from them. I did however get several automated emails letting me know they are sorry for the delay and their small team was backed up. I was patient for months but nothing happened. No response and never received the second part of the order. I finally tracked down the email of an actual person- Justin and he was not helpful. I politely requested a refund and he ignored it letting me know they were back ordered and would send the shirt when it was back in stock. Multiple refund requests later, I told him I was going to file claim with the fraud dept of my bank and he responded- less than an hour later. He refunded for one shirt only. Horrible company. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Months later.... still waiting for a reply from my inquiry emails, still waiting for the second shirt."

Scam

"Be ready to wait weeks or months for your order. I just gave up, they talk about their new "team" but they just reply over and over again with the same message that they are trying to fill orders, while still selling new products. Plus they only give 7% to charity now and most of the time it's unclear what charity they are supporting. "

Bad Experience Redeemed Through New Customer Service Team

"I love brands that stand for something good and always make it right when they make mistakes. And that's exactly what Sevenly did. They went through a period of unresponsiveness and I didn't understand why and was frustrated like many others were I'm sure. I came to find out that they were going through a management transition and the new team has been so helpful and dedicated to making it right. I've seen this happen with so many brands - they can caught up and make mistakes - but it's how they respond to those mistakes and what they do to make it right. I'm thankful for companies like Sevenly who can admit they made a mistake and have the character and dedication to return to their core values of #peoplematter. Won me back

"Similar to those who have written before me, I placed an order several months ago and never received it. In the past several weeks, I finally received a response from one of the Sevenly founders who extended his personal apologies over the delay. Apparently there was a break in the supply chain, hence the backlogged orders. As an entrepreneur myself, I sympathize. I also commend the new Sevenly team who sent me a handwritten check, hand-addressed letter (know this must take a lot of time and effort!), further apologizing and reimbursing me for my order.

I wholeheartedly believe that if we truly want to be "world changers", we have to look past the annoyances and disappointments Life inevitably throws our way (Including unfulfilled orders and disappointment in a company we staked sides with). People DO matter, and companies who support that ideology are worth forgiving and re-joining.

So I'm back on Sevenly's side. Plus I can't get their unique designs anywhere else. :D

Forget social change - all you get is MAD!

"I feel bad reading all of the other reviewers who are so mad after waiting a few months because I know you're only going to get increasingly mad. I have been waiting since October of 2015! My card was very quickly charged the $89 for the Autism t-shirts I bought for my preschool Autism students but I have not yet received my order. Forget the fact that those little preschoolers would never fit in them anymore anyway! Sevenly has claimed that they will get them out by a certain date which never happens, they send the same "poor us" email about how overwhelmed they are and promise they will get back to me soon, but still nothing. I did receive two of the 6 shirts in one random shipment about 10 months after I placed my order and was then promised a full refund which they claim they sent but of course never came. They've even had the nerve to sell the same t-shirts in another Autism campaign, after never delivering on the first one! I am so frustrated. NEVER BUY FROM THEM!"

Still shirtless 6 months later

"My story is similar to most people on here. I purchased a long sleeved shirt for 37.99 on April 20, 2016. I have been charged for said shirt, but have not even received a shipment notification. I have contacted Sevenly numerous times, but have only received the automated response. Almost 6 months later, I feel angry that I have been essentially robbed of the 37.99 plus shipping. "

Sevenly is a Scam

"I ordered a t-shirt back in April and still have not received it. I have emailed them twice about it and have not received a response other than the automated response that says they will get back to me within 10 days. Terrible company and crappy service. I think this company is scamming people. "

Ordered 7 months ago and have still not received my order/been refunded...

"I had very high hopes for this company and was so excited to be supporting them in buying one of their shirts. However, I have been so displeased and saddened by the way the customer service has failed me for the past seven months. Now I would just really like to get my money back (which they charged me in January) and call it quits. I would not recommend this company due to negative experience that I have had. Hopefully they will learn from this and try to do better for their customers in the future. "

Horrible costumer service!!! Do not buy from this company!!!

"On April 19,2016 I placed an order for 2 shirts through this company. It is now July 27th and I still do not have my shirts. My card was charged. I have emailed them several times and have left phone messages with their company. I get the same generic automated response from them and then 10 days later they respond with the same generic automated response that they are sorry about the delay and they are working very hard on my ticket. For the past 2 months this is all that I have received from them. If I were you I would think twice about ordering from their company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!"

"I have never seen an actual company with such a nonexistent customer service program in business. Don't buy anything from Sevenly! Even months after you order and you still haven't got what you paid for, they will email you with a UPS tracking number that leads to "tracking information not available yet" I want to know if the charities I support receive their $7 per item "

Most annoying online company I've ever delt with...they are ignoring my BBB claim!

"I purchased a t-shirt back in February. When I never received it, I contacted them in March. They offered me 20% back to wait for the order. When I still didn't receive my refund, I contacted them again a couple of months later and they claimed that they would get back to me by a certain date. I told them if they didn't then I would go to the BBB about it. Well, I ended up going to the BBB. Another dead end, I got an email from the BBB saying that they were unable to resolve the issue because Sevenly wasn't communicating back. I got on a live chat with Sevenly and they had the nerve to claim that they always answer the BBB, then ended the live chat! BBB took their rating off and is waiting for a update from them. I don't even want the stupid t-shirt because it would only serve as a reminder of the worst customer service I've ever had! I just want my money back. I will never order from Sevenly again!"

Boo!

"Last May (2015) I placed my first order at Sevenly.org and received my tank top within a few weeks. The process went just like their website promised. Order was placed the 13, shipped the 18 and I got it the very end of May... So the same cause comes up again this year and I think I'd like to support that cause again and I really like my first tank I'll get a couple more shirts from them and support Down syndrome awareness again. I placed this order 4/16/16. They sent me my confirmation email and took my $70.47. I've now emailed them four times inquiring to the whereabouts of my shirts and received three automated we'll be responding to your inquiry soon emails (I didn't even get the usual automated response when I emailed again last week) but no actual email telling me where my two shirts are or when they might get here... I'm guessing never. I might be ok with that if the Down syndrome charities got all of that money but I'm skeptical they ever even got whatever their dedicated donation was... Sevenly does not treat their customers as though 'people matter' (their slogan, and the reason I placed my orders with them) and I'm going to try and elevate this past getting my money back. Perhaps an investigative news group would be interested in looking into one of the world's leading 'social good' companies and how exactly they're performing their campaigns that bring awareness and funds to the charities and causes they're claiming they do... They're website really does say all of the right things and makes you think your purchase just might help change the world for the better... Please support the causes you believe in, but I wouldn't recommend doing that through Sevenly.org "
