"After looking on many websites for this replacement bag I found Shankslawn and I was very glad I kept looking because they had exactly what I needed and for a much better price than other sites even with the shipping cost. Other sites wanted more for the initial price along with charging the same price for shipping. I received my order on time with no issues. Very happy I chose Shankslawn and will/would definitely keep them in mind for future purchases."
"Don't waste your time with Shanks. Took months before I got my part. Tried to call and email for them to cancel to no avail. Part came late so I returned it. Guy I talked to from the returns department was rude. Needless to say they did not return my money. Bad place!"
"Don’t order online from this company!!!! You will be sorry and loss your money. I used there system and put in the model number of my machine, it pulls up a list of part numbers. I ordered the part it came but didn’t fit. I ask to exchange the part. My answer was I can return it, pay shipping and restock fee and then I could order the right part. I used there system so I should have got the part for my tractor. I feel like it’s not my responsibility to pay for this mistake. All I wanted was to exchange for right part. I’ve emailed parts dept which is a joke!!! I tried to get a return request but the label won’t print. They said I could write it on the box. Real professional!!!!. The owner responded to my previous review in a way that it was my mistake. I hope you find my review helpful and take your business elsewhere. These people are horrible. They will never speak to you in person or answer your emails. "
"Foolishly bought parts for my Troy Bilt mower on troybiltpartsonline.com, which is a front for Shank's Lawn Equipment. After seeing the reviews on-line for Shanks, I can see why they sneak around under other names. The steering parts were worse than the years-worn parts that they replaced. I asked if they were OEM, as advertised, and for a refund or replacement with actual OEM. A rep named Ike replied saying that I likely needed another part, (despite my original email saying that all the other parts were in good condition with good fit) and did not address anything else about the parts being OEM or about refund or replacement. When I replied and addressed my original concerns again, I was told I could return the bad parts at my expense and they would "determine" if I would get a refund. So I have to pay twice to ship garbage, and trust them to do the right thing at this point. Still not even an apology at this point for the wasted time, money and inconvenience. Third email, he says that he is sorry that the parts did not meet my expectations. Yes, because I expected working parts, better than worn out parts. He did finally answer that they did sell OEM, but didn't specifically say that the parts he sold me were OEM. I gave them one more chance to come good, but honestly, they wouldn't be dancing me around after selling me garbage in the first place if they were reputable. Now I know why they operate under a fake name online.
I offered them multiple opportunities to make good, such as sending me a return postage label and to return the crummy parts. Why should I pay postage AGAIN on something that did not do the job they were supposed to. Their own words from the response below: "Obviously, we have no control over the manufacturing process or quality and there could be a number of reasons for the failure." Yet they will not stand behind the garbage they sell.
According to Troy Bilt themselves:
"They are not an authorized dealer with us. However, they do purchase some their parts from us and sell some OEM parts, but not all are OEM."

That is a direct quote^^ from Troy Bilt, when I asked them about Troybiltpartsonline / Shanks."
"We ordered parts from this company and were contacted the next day that they were on back order and if I wanted to cancel the order let them know. I needed the parts as soon as possible so I canceled the order. A month later the parts were shipped to me. I contacted the company and they agreed to take the parts back, but we would be responsible for the return shipping. They basically said I was lying about cancelling the order. There are many more reputable companies you can deal with."
