"This is my first experience with SharkSystems and is absolutely my last! I will never deal with them again, they cannot be trusted and the customer service is non-existent!
I ordered a Sony E-reader from SharkSystemson Sunday Feb. 27. At the time the web page showed 27 available. Two days later I got an e-mail stating that the item was out of stock and discontinued. When I again checked the web page for the item, it still stated that there were 27 available. Then I discovered the Check Actual Stock button, it showed -19!
I started feeling uneasy about the whole thing and checked my Visa account. It showed a $290.95 entry from SharkSystems via PayPal. I then tried to call SharkSyatems using the toll free number, no one answered and I got a recording to leave a message and I would be contacted within 90 minutes. No call back was received. I then fired off an e-mail, no answer has yet been received. The next day I called several times, leaving a message each time, no call back. I then fired off another e-mail, no answer has yet been received.
I have now filed a dispute with PayPal and escalated it. SharkSystems has until March 14 to respond.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DISHONEST SELLER!

"This company is literally a joke. The ugliest shopping experience in my life.
Customer service simply doesn't exist. There is one secretary on phone and she has no information about anything. No supervisor, no other phone to call. You get into the wall, brick wall and that's it.
I ordered computer and for two weeks couldn't get the order processed. After two weeks they told me that it was not in stock anymore. On their website it showed 77 in stock. She told me that I had 2 options: to cancel the order or to wait but she had no idea what to wait for. I asked not to cancel for awhile intending to try to contact them by email and..... in 5 minutes my order was cancelled.
If you want to buy something please pay little bit more and avoid this disgraceful company at all cost."
"To be honest, I really don't want to write this review, but after having read other reviews, I know I need to let the community know about my experience with Shark Systems. I ordered a set of speakers from Shark on January 12th, 2010. I live in the US, and after two days of not hearing any confirmation, I called and they said that I had to verify my identity.
It seemed like a normal business practice and I complied, it took until January 24th for the package to arrive at my house. When I got the package is when the trouble started for me. The product was dead on arrival. I immediately called and they told me that I needed to pay to have it shipped back to them, then they would determine if indeed the product was defective, and only then would offer me a refund of my original cost plus the cost of shipping it back to them.
My package was received at their facility on February 1st, 2010 but I never heard back from them concerning the status of my RMA request. I called the next week and was told that they hadn't received the package yet, but after providing the tracking information and inviting them to go to the USPS website they were able to find it.
I received this email on February 14th that details the RMA procedure "RMA Status: Product Received. Your item(s) have been received and your RMA is now being processed. If you are to be refunded, expect a credit notification in 2-3 business days. If your item is to be repaired or replaced we will ship a replacement as soon as we have stock, or as soon as the item has been repaired." I received that e-mail February 14th, but did not receive the credit notification like they promised.
I called on February 22nd, and the customer service rep said that Jake would send an e-mail that day with instructions on how to receive the refund via PayPal. That e-mail was not sent and in a follow up call on February 23rd, it was stated that Jake was not in the office and there was nothing the customer service rep could do but wait for Jake to give me the refund.
This is where I sit now. I do not have the original product, I am out the cost of the product plus nearly $50 to ship it back, and I am still waiting a month after I shipped the package back to receive my refund. I, like so many others checked out Shark Systems before I purchased with them and found reviews to be favorable and the BBB report to be good. However, through my experience with them, I believe it is in a consumers best interest to choose a different route when ordering from an on-line retailer.
The only pleasant experience through this has been being able to easily reach customer service. The two girls are nice and try to explain the situation to the customer and do a good job at handling it, but I think the irresponsibility and delays come from the owner, Jake, and how he follows up to customer service and complaints.
I am still waiting for my refund and will update this review if/when it does happen, but for now, I do not trust Shark Systems, and I feel like there are a handful of reviews on this site that reflect the true nature of this company.
This has been a long, drawn out process that I am growing tired of rapidly. I will continue to fight to receive the refund I am entitled to, but I recommend that if you shop Shark, pray your item works when you receive it because there's no telling how long it will take if it doesn't.
If you have any questions about my experience with Shark Systems, feel free to e-mail me at ****@****
_________________________update______________________
Shortly after this review I filed an official complaint with the BBB like I had promised the customer service associates at Shark.
Early that next week I was able to get ahold of Jake and he promised to send me a check via Fedex for the entire price of my purchase + shipping as well as the shipping cost I incurred getting it back to them. Two days ago I got the check and had no problem retrieving the money. I'm still disappointed over how I was treated by the company early in my experience, but after talking to Jake I am convinced that he is neither a crook, swindler, or dishonest. He took care of me as a customer, and as crazy as it sounds, I may just shop with Shark again.
To those who have had negative experiences with Shark, continue to pursue other avenues as you see fit, but I think that in time (and it may take some time) they are willing to make it right for you.
I have taken the time to update this review because as much as people need to know about my initial disappointment, I believe you need to know that Jake made it right for me. I have changed my star rating to reflect as much.

"I am very very unhappy customer, don't know what to do and how long should I wait.

"Do not walk, RUN away from this company... I have an addendum to my earlier review... In response to my review I received the "sorry about the warehouse problems" BS which was a credit of $100 on any item, using the original order number as the discount code.
Well, As you may guess when attempting to use it I got an "invalid discount code" error.. I contacted Shark Systems and in a few day I received an email stating they problem with the code was fixed, This was Apr 26th.
Ofcourse when trying to redeem it I again got the same error and now they have not replied to any of my emails over the last two weeks...
Their inability to follow through on something that was supposed to compensate for bad service and the fact that to me dealing with them is not worth the $100 should tell you a lot. I'd rather get nothing and be done with them...

Return policy really doesn't make much sense. If the product is free of defects and you just don't want it you may return it for a full refund (-15% restock fee if applicable) within 30 days of the purchase. If a product is DOA or physically damaged then Shark Systems may issue a refund, replace the item or have the item repaired at their own discretion.
I ordered a graphics card that was DOA and I requested an RMA. In order to minimize the wait time to go through the entire process I was asking for a refund RMA and would then place a new order. One would assume that an item that's DOA would automatically qualify for refund or replacement but that's not the case and they may choose to send the item for repair. They also could not tell me what the determining factors are whether they refund, replace or repair the item. Should they choose to have it repaired it could be weeks or months before the problem is rectified. If you have a problem with an item I'd suggest returning it as a working item and get a refund.
Contacting customer service I was basically told "if you don't like it, too bad" and then was hung up on.

"Ugly store! Two months ago I made an order that has not been sent. First, the order was delayed for 10 days because I paid through PayPal (that's what shop manager said). Now I had no any answers from the shop and my order has not yet delivered."
"I enjoyed the convenience of purchasing this product online. It was quick and easy. It is nice to have a online store that you can depend on. "
"It has been over a month since I placed my order and I still have not received it. I called today and they said that they would send it out tonight. No one told me why it hadn't been processed prior to me calling. In my opinion, you shouldn't have to follow up on an online order with a phone call. I wanted to cancel the order altogether, but my husband insisted that we at least complete this transaction. We will see how quickly the product arrives but I doubt that even a speedy delivery can make up for the delay. This was suppose to be a Christmas present! After this experience, I will never use Shark Systems again. "
"Terrible customer service. Made my order 2 weeks ago, have sent countless emails and attempted to get through on phone but nothing."
"Sharksystems is swindlers. They took my money but didn't send my order.
I made my order 22 october. Now is 17 december.
Since, I sent a lot of messages, but result is zero.
At first they answered:
"Appears item came in stock recently. We will ship out Tues. Am. by express mail, expect your item by Friday at the latest.". But nothing changed.
A asked again. They sent me tracking number, but it was incorrect((it was make 5 october, but my order is 22 october!)). I wrote about it, but had no answer.
They didn't answer on my other emails.
I'm foreigner, so I asked one men from Canada make a call to them. They said "Yes, we had mistake.".
Guess what was next? Nothing.
The men call again. Some woman said "I find out and send the state of order by email.". It was 7 december...
All this looks like glib excuses, and they just stolen my money.
Upd. Nothing changed. They didn't return my money.

As you have stated in your previous email your money was returned. There was an error made on our part that your status should have been changed to cancelled not shipped. This is due to Sony not being able to produce the eReaders to keep up with the demand.
