"I was looking for a Canon 100-400 F4.5-5.6L IS USM lens. I found SharpestBuys.com to have the lowest price, by far, than any other website. After I reviewed all the specs listed on the website, and finding them no different than any other specs listed on any other website, including glass lenses (except for the price), placed my order. The following morning, I was woken by Joe, one of their salesmen (they're East Coast, I'm in UT, he didn't even do the math for the time change). He told me that the lens I'd ordered was a "grey market" lens, and that I wanted the USA lens. He explained that the main difference was that the grey market lens was made of plastic, not glass. He suggested instead I buy the USA lens, and since I was a new customer, he'd give me $100 off and a set of filters for free. He tried to convince me that the grey market lens was identical in all other aspects, but the plastic made it inferior--he even tried to convince me that the plastic and glass lenses would weigh the same. I told him I wanted to do more research and would call him back in an hour. I googled "grey market lenses" as it was a term I'd not heard before, and the first site that popped up explained what grey market lenses really are (same lenses, just imported directly by the seller, not through authorized dealers, and usually don't carry the same warranty) and that anyone who claimed that they were made of plastic should be red-flagged as this was a deceptive business practice. Which is exactly what he did! This is a horrible company with low business standards. I immediately called back to cancel my order, and happily purchased it from Adorama, which has been nothing but a joy! Stay away from SharpestBuys.com!!!"
"I bought a Nikon lens from this online store and followed all the steps established up to the end. About 10 minutes after the order was placed (and accepted) I received a call from one of the store representatives trying to sell me an inferior SIGMA lens instead of the one had I had already bought for a pretty good price. His lack of knowledge about lenses was pathetic and he made a lot of incredible and silly allegations against the Nikon lens. I rejected his offer and stressed that I wanted the Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G-AFS ED-IF VR Lens that I had bought. However, about 3 minutes after this call ended SHARPESTBUYS.COM decided to cancel my order without any valid reason or explanation. My experience confirmed what others have said about deceitful business practices. "
"Very frustrating experience. Bait and switch. Sharpestbuys had the lens we wanted advertised at the lowest price anywhere. However, they refused to ship that lens. I received a phone call from the "partner" insisting we buy a more expensive lens. This guy was relentless. After several harassing phone calls, I cancelled the order. I've decided to go elsewhere and was happy to pay more!! BUYERS BEWARE!"

"The camera industry is replete with bait-and-switch insects who feel entitled to cheat with impunity. Win-win is not satisfying enough; they must taste a win-lose to get themselves excited. Up to now they could be spotted easily by their uncommonly low prices. But a few have recently begun to avoid this radar by offering more believable but still too-attractive prices. SharpestBuys.com is one such outfit. If a web-based retailer tries to close a deal with a phone call (instead of using the cheaper method of eCommerce), tie up the particular felon who calls you for as long as it amuses you and then dump the call. If a website responds to an order with an email declaring the item out of stock, stop payment and report the event on this site. Also a quick email to the state Attorney General where they're located (and where you live as well) should result in piles of complaints mounting up. Their punishment will be swift. One more thing--the "I love you so much SharpestBuys" nonsense is so transparent it's laughable...not to mention they can't spell to save their lives."

"sharpestbuys.com is a bait website. The following is my personal experience and I strongly advice everyone to stay away from this fraud business:
I placed an order on sharpestbuys.com for Canon rebel xs kit. The website clearly says that it is mfgr packaging. After a couple of days (yesterday) I got a call from them saying battery and charger are accessories and they want to charge hefty amount for it that made it higher price for the camera than any other retailer. I have requested them to cancel my order. They told they are going to charge 5% cancellation fees. I had to contact bank and cancel my card to avoid the charges from them.
