"Worst shipping experience ever!!! DO NOT USE!! All boxes were crushed, all furniture was broken, family heirlooms were destroyed. Ship Smart was not interested in helping to resolve this and just told us to file with insurance. No apologies or effort to make this right. They did not ship as advertised. I highly recommend using ANY other company if you value your stuff and time."

"I would give ZERO stars, if that were a choice. As with other reviewers, I got a serious underestimate for moving an antique grandfather clock from Virginia to Washington State. AND I was not advised of limitations and restrictions that ended up applying AFTER they took possession of my clock. Their estimate: 250 pounds and $2,100 to deliver to my house, deposited on the concrete driveway pad.

When I got the final call to advise me of the charge, it was 480 pounds AND they refused to deliver to the house on a well-graded, smooth gravel road. They would only unload on the nearest paved road. But that's an eighth of a mile from my house and there is NO road shoulder, only ditches. Never mind that interstate moving vans negotiate this wide, graded road very well... THEY wouldn't go onto gravel at all.

NONE of this was mentioned when the order was placed. The ONLY alternative was to ADD the cost of a local agent to deliver to the house, inside, and unpack. There was NO other alternative, because they had already picked up the clock and crated it. The nearest local agent has to make a 75-mile trip to deliver ($800 more).

So, my reasonably acceptable estimate (including insurance) of $2,100 ended up being $3,998 ... extorted from me because THEY already had my clock, and there was no effective way to get it back from them and pursue another alternative.

DO NOT ever use these people. They are incompetent business people and estimators. I would NEVER deal with them again. "

"I needed a company that could move all my belongings (no furniture) across country from California to Florida. Not knowing where to start, I called a moving company that told me quite candidly that they had a minimum rate of $2,500, and I would do better off calling Ship Smart.
I called Ship Smartand they explained everything to me so I chose them to move me, and I was so glad they did! I packed 12 boxes (some very large), and after I moved everything was delivered to me on a pallet. Upon unpacking everything I found that NOTHING WAS BROKEN OR DAMAGED whatsoever! Even priceless antiques were unscathed and arrived just as packed! I cannot thank Ship Smart enough for their exceptional service!! Although I hope to never move this far again, if I did, I would 100% make Shp Smart my mover of choice!"
