"Last month I purchased a pair of salomon sandals from shoemall.com. They arrived about a week later in good overall condition. The sizing on the sandal was a little too narrow for my wide feet, so I wanted to return them for a refund. This is where the fun starts.With shoemall.com, you have to pay for return shipping. I've purchased shoes from other online vendors, and most allow for free return shipping.So, I return the shoes with an return label that they provide. They have different options of how to pay, including having it deducted from your return credit. I selected this option and mailed it.
I contacted them about 1 week later to see if they received it, and they said "that it was scheduled to be received tomorrow".
12 days later still no refund, so I contacted them again by email on the status. No reply.
Contacted them 18 days later by email, and they said that the return will be processed in the next few days. What's going on here?
Called customer service 22 days later (yesterday) to see what's up. The customer service rep now tells me that they haven't received the return yet, and they plan on receiving the return tomorrow. WHAT? That's what they told me 2 1/2 weeks ago. So now it appears they are lying to me. It would take another 24-48hrs for the return to go through. ARGH!Today (25 days since mailing the return),I am checking my bank info online, and notice they are now charging me $6.95 for the return shipping. Didn't I notify them that I wanted it to be taken off my refund amt. I call them, and they know nothing about that option. THIS is so frustrating! I will check tomorrow if the refund goes thru.I will Never ever ever use this company again.Back to Endless.com for me. I suggest you do the same."
"I'm very pleased with ShoeMall.com. Initially, I ordered the wrong size and was worried about the time and trouble of returning for an exchange but I told customer service what happened and they sent a prepaid label to me so I could send back the shoes. About 5 days later I could see transactions posting about the return and all the progress until I received another tracking number. Four days after that I've got my shoes that fit. No hassles. No worries. I don't know why 10 other reviews would be negative but if they really ship thousands of shoes a day (we'll call it 2000), have been in business for 1l years, assume they only work 8 hours a day and no weekends then they have VERY conservatively shipped 5,720,000 pairs of shoes. That leaves their negative feedback percentage at 0.00017%. Not too shabby."

"I placed an order for a prs of boots sz 6. I received sz 6.5 and there was also a hole on the zipper, so could not zip shut. There were also some scratches on the bottom of the shoes, so obviously, this was a returned prs, but instead of destroying them, they put them back for sale. I contacted them and returned instead of exchange because there was only 1 prs sz 6 in stock at that time, and the price had dropped, so I went ahead placed another order. Then I received the second order in the mail and this time it was sz7. Also there was another defect on the zipper that i could not pull all the way down. I called CS and they were rude, said nothing they could do except refund me all the money. I requested to talk to Mgr and was transafered to a supervisor name Will. This person repeated exactly what the other CS mentioned that they went with the sz on the box without openning it to check the content inside because they have no time. I suggested them to double check before mailing out, but they said they are shipping out a thousan prs of shoes per day, so they can't do that. Oh well, if you care about the quantity more than the quality of service, who would want to do business with you. I would never recommend shopping at this site. The supervisor wanted to cut me off, he even said : "I was on the phone with you for 9 minutes already, I have to hang you up. I have other customers're waiting". I am writing a letter to the CEO of the company. Stay away from this company. They don't deserve your business"
"I placed an order on Wednesday for an expensive item I had been looking forward to ordering for months. Their website was down intermittently for the next few days and I did not get a shipping notification. I called them on Sunday and the lady said the order would ship early in the week. On Monday their website was back online and I checked my order and it had been CANCELED without warning! No email notification or phone call! I will NEVER order from this business again, and I'm telling all my friends. I've placed an order for the same item with a different company, which will cost me an extra $14 including a shipping upgrade. Way to drive my business elsewhere, Shoemall.com. "

"I'm a little surprised at the negative reviews here as I had no problems with my ShoeMall order. No surprise cancellations or charges. In fact, I ordered incorrectly the first time, and they accepted my return without issue. Customer service seemed quite courteous. Item arrived within a week with ground shipping.
I would recommend before ordering that you know exactly what you want to order and what your shoe size is. ShoeMall processes their order very quickly. My initial order could not be cancelled, even though it was made when they were supposedly closed and I had called within two hours of the order."

"I will never make another purchase with this company again. They refused to price match their own store 10 days later even though they will price match other sites. In addition in small print they let you know that they charge for the return shipping $6.95. 90% of other shoe sites do not do this. They also use the slowest shipping possible. Their customer service is rude and not helpful at all."

cons: the free delivery is unbelievably slow, longer than three weeks to get our package. to be fair, the did overnight a new shipment to us when it looked like the original package had been lost. but both arrived on the same day, and none of the shoes (4 pairs!) fit. we asked to replace half of the order and refund the other half since different sizes were not in stock. they paid for return shipping, but then simply refunded the whole order without explanation. so...six weeks later and we're right back where we started. not worth the hassle, imho."

Items arrived late for a gift so I returned the order using their prepaid return postage (charge back to me) on Feb 22, 2006. I called on Mar 3, the rep said return had been received but will not be checked in until Mar 6 because the return was a bulk mail rate. I called again on Mar 6, it was not checked in. Called again on Mar 13th, still not checked in, was told to call back again. It's Mar 17th, I still do not see a credit on my credit card statement. Stay if you are not sure if the item will fit you or arrive in time for you!"
