"Poor customer services, when are u start thinking in reply to clients emails. Raising the invoices, without acknowledging the customers. If I do to one of my clients what Shurgard is currently doing to me, they, for sure will kick my derriere. The minimum as a courtesy, the client should be informed that the conditions are different, giving the option for the client if he wants to leave. The contract is an authentic trap, Shurgard reserve the condition of raising bills when they want. How they still have clients really surprised!

"Shurgard Purley is the worst experience ever. They sent me a note into my invoice instead of an email as they do many other times. As when I rang to pay the amount was right I didn't look into the invoice (as most people do because you won't imagine to find such an important message in there!) This one was to tell me that to continue with the 24 h access I need to send an email. I bought a flight from Canary Islands to London ONLY to go to this place at 3am to leave a very big and heavy piece of luggage, just to find out that I couldn't enter the place!! I had to leave it at Heathrow Airport storage, paying a fortune, as I had a flight in the morning. I complained and after many reminders they NEVER replied or apologized or offered a discount even when I've been a customer for many years.
There is no light AT ALL inside the unit so you are in complete dark as now they also disconnected the sockets located in the corridors!! To pay is another nightmare as I agreed from the very beginning I was going to be outside of the UK many times so I cannot go into the store and I need to pay over the internet or over the phone but over the internet is not possible as I need to split into 2 cards and many times nobody answer the phone for days, you leave a message and they never come back even when it is a british number I have!! I cannot pay into their bank as argentinian regulations makes it very difficult (if not impossible) and very expensive to make such a transfer that also takes too long.
One of the youngest employees was rude and not caring at all about any of what I was saying, Every time is a different excuse of why they don't answer my emails that they confirmed as received. I still don't have 24 h access after 4 months I requested it!! I am not moving out yet ONLY because my health is not very good."

I was not so thrilled with the hidden costs, such as the lock and extra insurance. I am also still awaiting my refund for the last part of the month; once I receive that I will be happy to give a higher satisfaction rating.
