"Signs Direct canceled sales purchase agreement for item they had listed on Amazon after I had agreed to purchase two of the items. Signs Direct had a pedestrian crossing sign for sale on Amazon. The sign was listed at $46.60 each with and additional fee of $15.50 for shipping. The item page (which I have archived as a PDF) showed two images for the sign, and stated "You can pick Engineer Grade Reflective (Yellow) or Diamond Grade (Fluorescent Yellow Green)". I placed my order for two of the signs and specified that I wanted the "Yellow Green" option. Signs Direct wrote and said that if I wanted that selection I would need to cancel order I already placed and instead order from another URL which they sent at $100.95 each. I declined to cancel my order stating that I had already ordered what I wanted from the listing they had placed on Amazon. I checked the listing and saw that the text talking about a choice had been removed. Signs Direct wrote back stating I had ordered the yellow version of the sign. I advised that I had not, and told them of the PDF saved of the original purchase description with two options shown and stated. Signs Direct then claimed an error was made by Amazon on the discretion. I advised that was not my concern if Signs Direct had placed an item for sale and not exercised the diligence to verify that their listing was correct. Signs Direct then canceled my Amazon purchase agreement for two of the signs. I believe this to be a clear example of "bait and switch", as I made a good faith purchase of the items and then had the terms of that purchase retroactively changed. In California the Attorney General and San Diego District Attorney would most likely consider this to be fraud."
