"I ordered a dress for my prom and the material was lovely and it looked like the picture. However, there were a number of other problems that overall tainted this experience for me and has just made this incredibly stressful. First of all, I payed for express shipping which they advertise as 14 days. I got my dress after about a month. Secondly, I payed for the dress to be made custom size, and it was so big that I had to get the bodice taken in over 2 inches, the straps shortened about 2 inches and I had to get shoes that were 5 inches instead of the 2.5 that I specified so that the dress didn't drag on the ground.
My mom and I have been emailing them trying to get compensation for the alterations (which are going to cost around the same as the dress itself) and their replies are evasive and they won't own up to the fact that they messed up majorly. They're trying to make it seem like we're being overly particular, when the dress is so big that it barely stays on my body when I wear it.
please just do yourself a favour and go to a store so you can try the dress on and see what it looks like for yourself. I've spent hundreds of dollars that I didn't plan to spend on this. Ultimately, very disappointed."
"My daughter purchased a prom dress from this company online (www.simidress.com). The dress received was not the same color as depicted on the site. We contacted the company within the 48 hour window after receipt of the dress, per their return policy, to initiate the return. We contacted them via email, which was the only contact information provided. We sent the email in response to one of their emails.
When a response was not received after a week, I called the phone number on the credit card transaction, only to discover it was incorrect. Several signs seem to indicate this company is sketchy, but my teenage daugher did not notice them. The email address is a gmail account. No physical address is listed. Return policy only provides 48-hours to contact them after receipt of dress. Copyright date on website is 2018. Finally, as we were unable to return the dress, we had to open a dispute with our credit card company."
"I needed a homecoming dress in a week because my previous dress was not what I wanted (from different website). After a long time searching, I came across this website. At first I was very skeptical but after reading the ratings on different websites I decided why not and take the risk. I decided to email them to make sure that they could have my dress at my house by homecoming and they were very quick to reply (within the day) and were very polite. When the dress came in, I was happy with the way it turned out since I included my measurements and the dress fit me perfectly. Only thing I would warn future customers is that the dresses AND SHIPPING (I paid for express and was very pricy) are quite pricey and are shipped from China which means that shipping could take a while."
