"Don't buy from them. I know that right now with the pandemic is an awful time to order skates and I tried to be reasonable. I asked them along with my order to just notify me if the delivery process would take longer than two months. I never heard from them. They will never answer their phone, sometimes you can leave a voicemail but the box is usually full. They don't respond to emails, regardless of how much time you give them. On top of that they have no issue charging you immediately with no assurances. Don't be me. Go to a local skating ring and buy yours in person if possible."

"I placed an order over a week ago but shows the pay by phone option because the website had a 15% discount listed that only registered a 10% discount in the cart on checkout. So I decided that I would use the pay by phone option so I didn't over pay. I received an email saying that I would get a call from them in the next 24 hours in order to pay for my order. I never got that call, I was patient about it though because it was around Black Friday so I figured maybe they were either closed for the holiday or just overwhelmed with orders. But the weekend has passed and we're well into the next week already and I still haven't heard anything from the company. I've emailed them multiple times and even phoned them leaving a voicemail with no response. I decided to do a search of reviews to see if this was typical of the company or just a one-off experience and I am so glad that I didn't pay up front for my order. I feel like I really dodged a bullet with this company and will take my business elsewhere."

"I won't repeat everything in all the other reviews since 2009. Instead I'll keep it short with a new review for 2019. If you order from skates.com aka skatesonhaight.com your credit card will be charged immediately not during or after shipment and it is impossible to contact them where you will get a response to get a shipment confirmation. Your only course of action is to contact your credit card company and ask for them to refund your money because even the link to cancel the order is a broken link on the website. You have been warned. These people have been at this scam off and on for over 10 years if you read all the reviews from the various websites."

"STAY AWAY! I ordered skates 14 days ago, they were supposed to ship within 24-48 hours and then I would receive an email so they could be tracked. As with everyone else on this review forum, I never got any information. I have left 2 email, and called over 15 times. I never received a reply on my email, and nobody ever answers the damn phone. The voice recording is extremely unprofessional. ("Hi there, I can't get my phone right now, could you please leave a message and a phone number, Thank you very much") Now does this sound like any other business's voicemail? They don't even state the company's name. Gee I wonder why? I have already contacted the San Francisco BBB to aware them of this fraudulent company, but I'm sure they won't get a response either! I'm going to the authorities next.

I ordered my skates on March 1st for my sons birthday party on March 23rd. There was a 9 day shipping expectation via my receipt. It is now March 19th and I still have not received them. I called the other day & the lady told me to call back Monday because it was “too late” for her to track my order, and immediately tried to refund me my money instead of trying to find a better solution. I emailed them last night, and still have not received an email back. I just called and “Linda Williams” who tried to tell me she was a manager. Come to find out SHES NOT. “Linda Williams” then proceeded to tell me that they have been talking about my order all morning, and “THEY ARE AWARE THEY DROPPED THE BALL”. You would think they would have contacted me, but it’s obvious they do not value their customers. I told her I wanted my skates expedited like I was offered by the last lady I spoke to, and I wanted my shipping refunded. Instead of making ME THE CUSTOMER happy by giving me what they offered originally.. she went ahead and took it upon HERSELF to refund me ALL my money. I understand that I was a bit pissy over the phone, but I have every right to be considering THEY dropped the ball. Sadly I had two more orders that I was going to place with them, but with the **** customer service they provide I will NEVER order from here again. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else.

"I ordered skates on 2-14-19. They were supposed to ship within 2-3 days, I never received them. I called on 2-28-19 and spoke with a woman there. She said they should have told me the skates didn't ship because the box had two left skates. She immediately asked me if I "just want a refund", almost like it's the normal way. I told her no, I ordered the skates and want them shipped. She said they would ship either that day or the next and that I would be receiving an email with tracking information. I never received an email or anything else for that matter. I have since called them and left messages to call me back. No one has called me and today, I have sent an email. I asked them for a refund, but I am worried that this will be ignored also. I have never in all my life dealt with such a horrible company. I have ordered from a different company through Amazon. At least I know I won't have to deal with this ridiculousness any longer. If I don't get my money back, the next step is file a claim with pay pal. Now onto filing complaint with the BBB!!"

"This company is TERRIBLE!!! I ordered my skates along with Express shipping. After waiting 5 days I called the contact number in which I was my order was received, but never fully processed. They were waiting for me to call to confirm my order WHAT THE ****!?!? I was upset but I said I really want these skates and they assured me that they would be shipped ASAP. a week goes by no tracking number no conformation no contact so I call back and this time they tell me it'll be minimum 5 weeks before they even ship. I demanded a refund to which I still have not received my "refund" email. The service is terrible and honestly it feels like a 3rd rate company boarder line scam! DO NOT ORDER FROM skates.com"

"I was super worried after seeing all the 1 star reviews! I happened to look here after I had already ordered a pair of Moxie Lolly roller skates and received them no problem! I even messaged the company through Facebook and they were wonderful and able to tell me about my order and when it would be shipped out. I ordered on a Friday night and received them on Tuesday! The reviews here scared me for no reason! LOL"
