"This is the first order I have ever placed with skymall, on April 27th,14. I chose this item because it said the item was in stock and would be shipped right away. This item was needed for a trip planned for mother's day weekend. Two days after placing order, on April 29th, I received an email stating it was back ordered and would now ship no later than April 30th. Then on May 2nd, I received another email stating it was back ordered and would not ship until May 7th. I will clearly not receive this item before my trip,( I leave on the 9th), and I am very unhappy. This is very bad customer service, especially for the first ,( and now definitely the last), order I have ever placed here. I couldn't be more unsatisfied! "

" This is a prime example of a bait and switch I called about the discount and was told that some suppliers do not give the discount even though it says Discount Accepted when you add in the Promotional code. When I called to find out where my discount was I was told that that supplier would not accept the code. I hung up and thought about it then called back attempted to cancel the order. The customer service rep told me that He would check into it but it couldn't be cancelled right away. I informed him that I did not like that type of business practice and wanted it cancelled. Supposedly it was cancelled, we'll see. Either I get a discount or I do not. I don't like to see Discount Accepted then it doesn't show up."

"Bait and switch

Received an email offering 15% discount. Went ahead and purchased the product shown in email online but the 15% discount didn't show up.

Called customer support where I was informed that 15% only applied to "discountable" items and wouldn't you know it, my purchase, which was featured in the email, wasn't one of those items.

It may have been unintentional but it was false advertising as far as I'm concerned.

"I sure would hate to be in contact with that customer service employee I just talked with at the end of the day. She must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed and her attitude really reflected that. I doubt that I will ever order again from Sky Mall just because of her. If you can't correct something before it ships you apparently don't give a damn if the customer receives item or not. I was only trying to find out HOW something was to be shipped and by that I mean by USPS, FedEx, or UPS. So all I can say is you should try to be at least kind of nice to a customer unless they are cussing you and then just hang up. "

"A piece was missing in our floor to ceiling shoe rack. The black round circle washer like piece that kept the top rack from falling down was missing in the packing of this purchase. We were most unhappy about this. "

"Had a terrible experience!! Waited 10 days for my order, never received shipping confirmation. I called customer service two times. They told me I had to wait the full 10 days to see if it would ship, and they had no way of tracking it before the 10 days was complete. On the 10th day, I received a notice that the item would not ship and was no longer available. Skymall apparently couldn't tell me this earlier? I will NEVER shop with them again. Please don't send me any apology emails, "special" apology offers, etc. It's too late - the time to offer service was approximately 10 days ago."
