"Sling is definitely a much better option than cable. I do have some buffering issues from time to time but my experience is mostly positive. There is between a 5 and 30 second delay from live TV (seems to vary by streaming device type) which can be frustrating while watching sports when friends message you after a goal/touchdown/basket/score-unit before it has happened on your TV. The Sling app interface navigation is pretty terrible. If you want to watch the very last channel in the list of hundreds of channels, the only way to get to it is to push the right or down arrow hundreds of times. You can add channels to the "my channels" list which is basically favorites. But, when that list gets full, it devalues the favorites list since you're just scrolling again but in a different area. I've considered switching to other streaming TV services because of just this. I'm sure a simple update could fix it but here we are a year later and it's still a problem."

Make sure you have plenty of bandwidth with your in-home network.

We left Dish (yes I know Sling is a part of Dish) and kept the great channels and saved over 100 dollars a month.
