"I ordered merchandise in late November for a Christmas Present that I thought was from Overstock - Bed, Bath and Beyond. After Christmas we opened the box and it was a very cheaply made item. Much to my dismay, they didn't want to take it back as it was past the thirty day return policy..... It was a Christmas gift.
They graciously will take it back for a 25% restocking fee plus I have to pay shipping - because it is buyers remorse.....
This has affected how I will buy from Overstock and Bed, Bath and Beyond again..... like they just lost a loyal customer and I will also let everyone else that I know about my experience.
At least pay for the shipping back if you have to charge a 25% re-stocking fee - which is ridiculous.... "
"I purchased a handheld vacuum from overstock and the top fell off and the vacuum would cut off and on while trying to vacuum my carpet. I tried calling SmackTom the seller, several times and finally got an email from stating they don't do returns after 10 days. I had this vacuum for 5 months and its fell apart in my hands. I dont understand how they stay in business. Please if you see any items sold by Smack Tom do not make a purchase or you will be sorry. "
"I purchased 2 lamps at a cost of $430.00 each. After the first one arrived I looked up the manufacturer and found the same lamp on another site for 200.00. I sent them back but when I did I mistyped the address at 8699 Mercury Lane instead of 8600 Mercury Lane. TOTALLY MY ERROR!!! The boxes were returned to me and I called customer service to let them know what had happened. I left my name and phone #. The recording said I would get a return call within 24 hours--I accepted that as reasonable. Called again 2 days later--no return call. Called again on the 5th day---no return call. Now the 30 day return policy has expired and I am really upset!!! I do not believe I will shop at Overstock again---they should be more selective with their marketplace sellers."
"BUYER BEWARE: Know your prices before you buy anything from this seller! I paid $270 for a mirror from them and then realized I needed another one. I ordered THE SAME, EXACT MIRROR in the SAME box with all of the SAME markings from a different seller for $130 less! The ONLY way that they would give me my money back was if I returned the mirror. They said that they couldn’t sell it for less, even though I mailed them numerous pictures of different sites selling it for less. Overstock would do NOTHING about it. SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!!!"

"I ordered 2 mirrors through overstock.com and they were 3rd party seller. They ended up being too small and I asked to return. They said there was a 20% restocking fee and after 10 requests they never sent the return information. Overstock was of no help. I will never use overstock again. "

Item arrived without instructions on how to assemble and is certainly NOT worth the price just looking at the quality of the pieces! When I initiated the return I was told that I have to pay for postage and also a 20% restocking fee. Unfortunately I failed to do my research on them before I ordered through Overstock. "I ordered two articles of clothing. They didn't fit. The seller very politely told me that there was no way they would take them back. Then I realized that only one of the two showed up, and Overstock did refund for the one that didn't show up.
The site did not overtly state this when I ordered. It may have been in the fine print, but I had not idea. That's just wrong.

"I placed an order with Overstock for a raised garden, my amex was instantly charged and a receipt was sent with an approximate delivery date. A few days later, I received a “your order with Overstock has shipped” Email with a tracking number. UPS advised that the shipper had printed the label but not called for pick up. Two weeks after the shipment was due to arrive, I got the same message from UPS. I contacted Overstock who advised I needed to contact their seller SmackTom.com, who apologized and promised to “ship a new one ASAP” and stopped communicating. Back to Overstock, who replied that Smacktom had advised the “problem had been resolved”. Fast forward through several more comms from me to both Overstock & Smacktom, me formally cancelling the order theee times now and today, Smacktom replies again that they will advise when my “refund has been issued or the item has shipped”.
I am a frustrated and disappointed consumer who has been scammed by Smacktom and treated badly by both SmackTom and Overstock. I strongly recommend you do not order anything from Overstock or Smacktom, as they both fail on customer service."

"I ordered Rubberized Hard Case for Macbook® Air 13 Inch A1466/A1369 Ocean Green which included a matching keyboard cover. I ordered the set on Sunday evening, it shipped the following morning and arrived a couple of days later. The case is 2 separate pieces, 1 for the top and the 2nd for the bottom. They are simple to apply as they just snap in place and fit perfectly. I had seen a keyboard cover at the Apple store. It was expensive, but I almost bought it anyway until I felt it. I don't know what it's made of but I couldn't stand to touch it. When I found the keyboard cover that was part of a set with a case for less than the Apple store's keyboard cover I decided to order the set. I'm so pleased with it, and even my husband commented that the cover and case look really cool!"
