box a garbage

"I ordered a mobile lighting truss system from SmartDJ. After receiving no shipping information for 5 days i called the company. I spoke with a young man named Jesse. Jesse told me that I'd either receive a email letting me know that the item would either ship or I'd get a refund. Neither happened. I called back the next day and spoke with Jesse again. Jesse explained that the item was damaged but that he'd call me back personally to update me. to his credit he called and said they were sending a differnt more expensive one at no additional cost.
When it showed up the box was so destroyed it was barely held together with packing tape. i opened the box to find an old used and broken lighting truss system. it even had an aluminum light clamp still clamped on it. One of the tripods was broken. the truss ends were bent. the whole thing was scratched. parts were just thrown into the box that had holes all over it.
Folks save yourself a lot of headaches. DON'T DO BUISNESS WITH THESE GUY'S.

Worst customer service

"I ordered speaker mounts from Smart DJ for an installation. The website said they were "in stock". I placed the order, paying for priority shipping, expecting to see the package in 2-3 business days. About 3 days after I placed the order, I called to check on the shipment and I was told it hadn't shipped yet. Very odd for an order that was "in stock". I told "Smart"DJ that we needed to cancel the order and have them stop shipment, due to the fact that I had missed my deadline for the installation.

Long story short... I was told I would have to wait until the package arrived and then a return label would be generated. Two weeks after the order was placed, the package arrived and I'm then told that I have to pay for return shipment of the item that they got to me in an extremely late fashion.

What a horrible company that won't 1.) admit their own mistake as a company
and 2.) then penalize the customer for their websites misinformation ("in stock") and their lack of expediency getting the package to the customer. I am highly unimpressed.

And the worst part of it all, after I tried very hard to work with them to return their own merchandise, called three different times trying to speak to a manager or supervisor (and even waited to be called back by said manager three different times) and never once spoke to someone in charge. It's extremely insulting and the business practices of this company are highly questionable from where I stand. Seems amazing to me that a company will make a mistake and then make the customer pay for that mistake. Buyer beware and do NOT spend your money with this group. There a way too many other options of actual reputable companies that you should support.

"WARNING: do not order from this company. My situation is similar to the rest of the bad reviews. I ordered 2 peavey subs. Never received a shipping confirmation. I called and they said they could not ship because they were damaged and it was the last ones in stock. I told them to cancel the order. They assured me that the charge on my account would remain a pre authorization because they never completely charge until itemp ship. The next day the amount settled and they still haven't refunded my $409.00. I called 4 times asking to speak to a supervisor. John, was one of the names. They put me on hold each time and never allowed me to speak to a supervisor. They are scam artists and liars. Heed the warnings people. I'll have to take them to court now to get my money back. "

"Do NOT do business with this den of thieves! I ordered a guitar case 6 months ago, the model I had been told would work did not fit. I returned it (paying shipping and driving to the nearest FedEx, 40 miles away), they did not have the Washburn case I wanted but had an aftermarket case that they said would. Nope. Returned (paying shipping and driving to FedEx again since they would not issue a call tag) and asked for simple refund, to late, they can not issue a refund after 30 days. Would direct order the correct case from Washburn, a GCEADLX. That was 60 days ago. Still no case, no refund and, they are currently advertising that case IN STOCK and READY TO SHIP! Guess the joke, and return shipping both times, is on me. Take your business somewhere else."

"My horrible experience with this bunch of liars is very similar to Andras53's

Ordered, charged the same day. Received notification item had been shipped - then suddenly they couldn't ship it because it was damaged.

Tried to get me to order something else, but they had nothing even close in stock so I demanded a refund. Never got refund. Still getting excuses like "System was down".

They tried to get us to cancel the order on eBay without receiving a refund too. They are clearly trying to rip people off. Especially since the out of stock item is STILL being sold on eBay as I type this and they are well aware of that fact.

"I have ordered a Washburn guitar case, what was stated as in stock item. They took my money off my account on the frist available day. I received a message, that they realized the item to be send out was damaged :) Sure. They did not have the item on stock. The backorder does nor have a date.
I called up to cancel the order and get my money back. A lady stated the followings:
- she can not give me a cancellation number (so I not even can prove I talked to her.
- to get back my money - what took a day to process - I have to wait 7-14 days.

When I asked, where I can make a complain, she simple hanged up the phone. Very rude procedure.

"Nightmare
I ordered and in-stock item, I needed in a couple of weeks.
The site said free shipping on orders over 100 buck. They charges me shipping, I asked for a refund of the shipping and got it. They then asked if I could wait 6 weeks for it, I asked to cancel and they said there is fee for canceling. They canceled it and I did not get my refund till 11-29 after agreeing to drop the cancellation fee they charged me for it.
I also received the item after I canceled it and refused it.
They lied and said they could not stop it from the manufacture but the shipping label said it shipped from their warehouse.
I got 6 or so hours fighting with these idiots.

"The customer service for this merchant is terrible. I had a case that was defective and under warranty. They wanted to charge me for not having the tags when I returned the item. This was for a defective product. I've been strung along more and more. I'm extremely disappointed and would recommend not using this store"

"I've had a very difficult time with this company. Perhaps if you buy something from them and it works out the box, people love them. However, that was not my experience. I purchased on ebay, didn't work, sent it back following their detailed instructions using their specific carrier, contacted them about the return. They claimed not to have received. I had to prove otherwise through tracking and proof signature. Still waiting. I have spent more on my time and shipping then the product is worth. "
