"The device appears to be fairly effective in significantly reducing my snoring, according to my wife. Because of its height, however, it forces the user to sleep with an open mouth, leading to occasional throat dryness and sometimes a raspy breathing noise that disturbs her sleep. It has to be removed to take a sip of water, then reinserted, interrupting the user's sleep as well. It does cause some mild pain in the upper incisors from the rearward pressure caused by supporting the jaw in a forward position (as mentioned in the user's guide), but this is mainly noticed after removal of the device in the morning, and disappears after a short period of time. In short, it's not ideal, but it is effective and not too uncomfortable after a period of adjustment. I would be more interested in a smaller device that allows mouth closure, yet maintains contact with the upper and lower teeth in order to preserve the forward positioning of the jaw. Perhaps spring-loaded hinges connecting the upper and lower trays would allow for a smaller but equally effective design."

"Most of the benefits of this product I could see in reality. The product, however, was not able to hold my lower jaw forward as my teeth continued to slip out of the teeth impression. My lower jaw would then fall back to it's natural position rendering the product useless."
