"WARNING WARNING WARNING: Unless you like lack of communication, snail slow processing of your order, and not being able to talk to anybody about it then don't order from this company. I had ordered from this company in the past with no complaints so I didn't even think to check here or call them before I ordered a p4 2.4ghz cpu and a couple of power supplies. I ordered these parts on Dec. 18th and got them on Jan. 6th. I tried calling them but nobody will answer the phone!! They would only answer about one out of every four emails that I sent them asking when my order was going to ship. This company has a lot of red flags concerning orders. I'm afraid that they have gotten their last order from me and my suggetion to you is save yourself the agony of ordering from them."

The $166 was promptly charged to my Mastercard, but it is 15 days later, and no merchandise delivery. UPS tracking # was supplied, but UPS does not confirm receipt of goods, only that a pickup was ordered. Sofistic support answered one of three emails, and advised to wait.
If stars are the standard for rating on-line sellers, this outfit deserves 5 black holes.
Update:
I sent an email on 12/27 telling them to ship 12/27 or cancel the order. I told them that I was filing a dispute with Mastercard if they did not reply to my email.
They did not reply, so I had Mastercard stop payment.
Still no email, but out of curiosity, on 12/29 I checked the old tracking number, and UPS did a pick-up on 12/27.
The goods arrived properly packed, on 1/06 (OK considering the holiday).
A couple of rounded 18" two device IDE cables were shipped instead of singles. Also received some items with 6" cable, and I need the 8" per their site specs, & my order.

"Sofistic prices are aggresively low. There are several issues though. 1. They cannot be reached by phone. 2. They add very high shipping costs which offset the low price. 3. They don't usually ship until 4 - 6 days after the order is given online. 4. They are slow to answer email requests for RMA's etc... otherwise I've ordered several times and gotten the merchandise and it worked fine (except for an AthlonXP1800 CPU that kept locking up at any speed). If you don't need the parts in a hurry and their shipping costs don't jack up the price too high, give them a shot.

Then they charged me alomost $200.00 just to ship all the parts ground. Then within thirty days A mother board fried, a hard drive fried on me and a hard drive a sold to a friend alomst fried on him, however he was able to get it fixed before it went bad. So, I sent the mother board into them right. two weeks later I got the same mother board back in the mail. I opened the box and there was the broken mother board. I called them asking what was wrong. They said they never got it. So I called the shipping company and asked them what went on. They asked if I insured it for $200.00 or more than $50- I said yes, they asked if I could see three dates on the box, I said yes they said that they tried to deliver it but that the company was not there or noone signed for it and so they would leave notes for them to pick it up at the shipping company. So, I called them back and told them that. They said it's not there problem, they don't have to sign anything or have to go pick anything up. So they made me pay another $20- bucks to go and ship it back out to them. I tell you, I build alot of computers and I order alot of parts. "I ordered an Asus A7S333 Motherboard from this company on August 4th, as well as other components from other companies for the computer I am building for myself. Within 2 weeks, I had received all of the other parts I had ordered, but I still had not heard anything from Sofistic at all, so I investigated a little. As it turns out, they cancelled my order because of an error I put down an incorrect billing address (I'm a college student), but they felt free to charge my card anyway without ever even sending me an e-mail informing me of the cancellation. I contacted both my credit card company and Sofistic, but all I've received from Sofistic is an e-mail asking for the date of the purchase as it appears on my credit card. I'm sure that it will all work out in the end, but I'm also sure that neither I nor anybody I know will ever buy from this company again."
"i placed a $300 order with this company on july 2 after a week with no word i emailed them a few times with no reply. then i spamed every e-mail i could find asking them why nothing had beed done about my order. finally it was shiped after that. i recieved my order on July 17. shipping was $94.00 very very $$$$ and my package wight was only like 14# now i am having a problem with the cdrw i bought and have filled out the rma form 3 times with no contact i just spammed every email again trying to get a RMA number to get me a new drive.
the drive i orderd said it was a "retail box" the only packaging on it was a static proof bag.
this company is a pathetic joke. they have some awesome prices but the service and qualaty controll of what they ship is a damn joke!!!

"Judge for yourself. On August 4th I ordered an Ahanix PLATINUM XP case from sofistic.com. It was shipped within 3 days, as they promised, and I received it about 10 days after that. The case I was sent, however, was not the PLATINUM XP I ordered, but a cheaper AUDI XP (although the invoice clearly stated PLATINUM XP). Obviously I was dissatisfied and wanted to return the wrong item for an exchange. I looked at their RMA form online, but none of the 3 options offered (Wrong Item Ordered, Dead On Arrival, Doesn't Function Properly) applied to me. So I e-mailed them. The reply promised to reimburse the shipping cost, and said that I should ship the item I believe is wrong back to them with some number written on it. When I asked, however, for a detailed reply on how they are going to reimburse my shipping charges they did not reply. After that I sent a number of emails, and tried to contact them by phone a number of times, even left a message - not a single word from them. In my last email I said that if I don't get a reply within a day I will call my bank and stop the payment. No reply - so I talked to my bank. And, on top of all, as I looked closer at the case I received, I noticed that the back panel is significantly damaged - 2 large dents. The damage could not have been UPS' fault, since the box has no signs of damage. So not only I got a wrong cheaper item while being charged a full higher price, but it was also broken, and they knew it! This was by far the absolute worst on-line shopping experience I've ever had. Obviously I would never buy anything from them again."
