"The solar blanket I bought from them only lasted one season. I've had a pool for 35 years and know how to properly treat and store a blanket and have always gotten four or five years out of them. I contacted customer service to see how to use the warranty for a replacement and was told to send pictures of the damage, which I did. I heard back fairly quickly that more pictures were needed of the entire blanket. I sent more pictures and waited gave them two or three weeks to get back to me, but I heard nothing. Over the next couple of months I sent two more follow-ups in writing, but never heard a word. I gave up and bought a blanket from a more reliable company. "
"I purchased a Sun2Solar 1600 Series pool cover with a 10 year limited warranty in March of 2022 from Solarcovers.com. My cover completely deteriorated in under 15 months. Small pieces of plastic are floating in my pool and sections of the cover have completely disintegrated.
I submitted a warranty claim to Solarcovers.com and was told it was not covered by the manufacturers warranty.
If a total disintegration of the plastic is not covered what good is offering a warranty.
I would not recommend this product to anyone and would strongly encourage anyone looking for a solar cover to avoid this Sun2Solar and Solarcovers.com."
"Bought an in-ground pool solar cover with 3-year limited warranty but it didn't even last 3 months. The cover started to tear and rip into pieces with bubbles disintegrating all over the pool. The seller refused to replace the defective product. Save your money and grief and shop elsewhere. Bought many solar pool covers and this was the only cover that did not servive its purpose for the current season. It does not even deserve one star! "
"As the rest of the reviewers said, the cover comes apart in less than a year and they won’t honor any warranty claims. It is to have a 10 year warranty. So what does the warranty cover???"
"As the rest of the reviewers said, the cover comes apart in less than a year and they won’t honour any warranty claims."
"I bought a cover just over one year ago and it is ripping terribly and when I sent photos over was totally denied and said it is not on the seam so we do not care. One huge rip along the seam and no response when I pointed that out to them. Must be one guy running this as a third party push through to the consumer since their email server can only handle one picture at a time. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, SCAM!!!!"
"We purchased a cover from Solarcover.com with a 10 year warranty. After 7 months of use, many plastic bubble covers were coming off into the pool every day. We sent photos to customer service as requested and were immediately told it was not covered by warranty. Do NOT buy this cover!! They will not replace the cover or offer to refund our money. "
"I purchased this product and was happy to see a 10 year warantee. However it lased only one season. on the second year it started to disintegrate . Customer service gave the standard spiel almost exactly word for word as other reviews that the manufactures warrantee does not cover the type of damage. Horrible customer service. Don't waste your money"
"order was handled quickly and efficiently. Received cover within 2 days"
"I bought a Sun2Solar® Crystal Clear Solar Cover 12ft X 32ft Rectangular 1200 Series last year in May.
In January, I started noticing some plastic rings coming from bubbles. I was thinking, "maybe some of them are defective, but no big deal.... plenty of bubbles are still doing their job.
Weeks after weeks, the numbers of disintegrated bubbles started to increase drastically.
So, I called their customer service to see what is going on. They said, "Send detailed photos of the issue".
Now, they just answered:
"We have received your photos, and have had our specialists review them for warranty coverage. Unfortunately, what is shown in the photos is not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty. This warranty only covers manufacturing defects, and does not cover rips, tears, or bubble damage. The manufacturing defects covered would be true seam separation, where the layers that make the seam begin to peel apart from each other, and delamination, which is the separation of the layers that make up the solar cover. As the photos submitted do not show a manufacturing defect, the warranty claim has been denied"
I cannot believe this, they are just denying that something is wrong with the cover !!!
I agree with other comments. Previously I bought very cheap solar cover and never had this problem. Sure, after a year and a half, the cover is going to rip apart.
So, buy somewhere else the cheapest solution ever and expect to replace it every year. At least you'll know why it was cheap.

"Ordered a 1200 series blue solar cover, it was delivered on May 21st. It came in defective. I have been trying to reach customer service ever since (today is June 17th) and still have not been able to speak to anyone. Left my name number and email and no one has called. I paid $100 for this cover and want to return it or get some of my money back. This cover is sub standard - I will never purchase anything from this company again! I would have been better off with AMAZON or WALMART!!"
"Bought the 16 mil clear blanket with a 10 yr warranty. Only use it 4 months a year, and the third year the plastic disintegrated. Checked on warranty and found out it only covers the seams coming apart. The cover is thick and doesn't have vent holes. It was hard to work with and appeared cheap. Don't waist your money. Buy a cheap blue cover and expect to replace it every other year."
"I have been buying solar pool covers for 11 years and this is the first time I got only one season out of it. This is the item name...Clear Diamond Solar Cover - 16 Carat (Mil).
Complete garbage. "
"Solar cover lasted only one year on an indoor pool. Attempted warranty claim and company made excessive requests for multiple pictures at various angles back and forth. I showed several photos of the cover literally disintegrating. They denied the warranty claim based the fact that the disintegration was not occuring at a seam. I have multiple disintegrated sections and detached bubbles floating in my pool. Save your money and buy a roll of plastic wrap - it will hold up better than their covers and their customer service is very disappointing."
"Just ordered a 16 Mil solar cover item no 469155 and I will NEVER give this company any more of my money. We ordered this SAME cover 4 years, same item no and it is clearly NOT the same cover! I wonder if it is even a 8 Mil! I ordered a heavier cover because we live in an area that is unusually more windy than other locations. The cover doesn't even cover all of the water! 4 years ago we had to trim it to make it fit which was great, not anything extra to be able to cut this time! The material is so cheap I doubt it will even last one season. My neighbor also ordered a 16 Mil from a different company and her's IS like our old cover, the right one!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!! Theirs a reason there is NOT reviews on their webpage!!!"
