"My experiences with Sony products are not satisfactory.
I bought a Bravia TV and Blu-Ray Home theater. Within three months the remote stop to work.
The operation of Blu-Ray Home Theater is not user friendly and waste of time. There have an Ariel which is useless. We never can replace the Ariel because the plug Nob is specially designed. Without the Ariel, the FM radio will not work.
Just imagine that how much we pay for the above sets. Even spare also is not available to buy.
Be cautious while choose Sony Products.

"I purchased a HDTV through their online store.
It got delivered in the time they had promised. The TV was manufactured in canada. It looked like it used cheap and flimsy plastic. Definitely not worth the money paid for the brand name Sony.
Just after couple of days or so, I noticed that there were some dead pixels and from the looks of it, it was clearly a product defect. It was a black line about half an inch or so.
I called sony customer care and got a new repair ticket created and they instructed me to take some pictures of the defect and send it to them via email and someone will call me / email me within the next 48 hours. I took the pictures as they said, infact they asked only for 3 pictures, I took 6-7 pictures and sent them to the email address they gave. 3 days went by and I did not get any call or email from sony.
I called sony back and they confirmed that the email address is correct but for some reason they did not receive the emails I sent that had the pictures of the defect. They requsted me to send the pictures again and I sent them again the same day. Again 3 days went by and I did not get any call or email from sony.

Sony has a 30 day return policy. After 30 days, I think sony may either exchange the defective tv or repair the defect but will not process a return.
By the time I had called sony at this time, there were only 3 days remaining for the 30 days to get over.
At this point, I had enough of them not receiving any of my emails and I suspected that they were just trying to keep it going so that the 30 days are over and then probably deny my return as it is beyond 30 days.
I packed the TV, and took it to their store and returned it the same day before I ran out of the 30 day period.
The store people said that they cannot process my return as it was an online purchase from sony.com. They will only help with shipping the TV back to their returns facility. I will have to call their customer care to get the refund processed. The store also said that I will get an email with a tracking number once the TV has been shipped to their returns facility. A week or so passed by and again there were no emails at all. I had to call the sony store back about 3 times, in order to get the tracking number.
I was also calling the customer care to process my refund. They said it will be automatically done once their returns department receives the TV.
After about 10 days, surprisingly, I got an email from one of their customer care person who took my last call saying that their returns department has received my TV and my refund will be processed in 14 days MAX. In between this 14 day period, I called sony at least 3 times to check on the status of refund and they said that they cannot tell anything until the 14 day period is over.
14 days went by and there was no email about processing my refund. I called them back again and they confirmed that somehow my refund was still not processed. The agent said she will have the refund processed manually on the same day and later that day surprisingly I got the email that a credit has been issued.
Then I noticed that the refund amount was about $10 or so less than what the previous agent had said. I called them back to check on that. They said that $10 is some state tax / fee kinda thing and has already been paid to state where I live and will/cannot not be refunded.
Neither sony website nor any of their customer service agents are aware of the fact that there are some non-refundable fee and sony never informed me regarding this non-refundable state tax/fee anytime during this whole process.
Sony sends me a defective tv.
I request them to send someone to take a look. No response whatsoever from them.
I return the TV within 30 days. They dont process my refund.
I had to call them a zillion times and follow-up and finally get my refund processed manually. And they do not refund me the full money paid.
NO MORE SONY WHATSOEVER!

I am now scared ordering from Sony.com
On Oct,25,2014, I order a sony cx240 for $229.99.They also gave me free micro sd one is 16 &32 . LEss than hour I call them back and try to cancel my order but Ms.Kathleen M. said that I should have read their TERM AND CONDITION that I cannot cancel my order.On Oct.27,2014 I called them again and try to cancel again and they told me the same condition.I went to sony.com and I saw the CX240 price from &299.99 went down to $199.Now I am so stress and cannot do anything except to wait for the order."
