Sent wrong $1800 mattress, will not take responsibility

"Spinlife is a deeply dishonest company.

I purchased a new Flex a Bed mattress for my Hi-Low Flex-A-Bed adjustable bed frame. The product page said it was compatible with my frame. This page showed the correct model in the photos.

I received a different Flex a Bed mattress model than what was in the photos. I put it on the bed and confirmed it does not work. It barely bends and looks like it’s going to fall off. You can’t really lay down on it safely.

Spinlife says: “The Memory Foam Mattress comes in a variety of sizes, allowing it to fit your current Premier or Hi-Low Flex-A-Bed adjustable bed frame.”

Customer service first admitted the manufacturer sent the wrong thing. Now they’re pretending otherwise and will not refund an unused (and unusable) $1850 with tax mattress for a person suffering from muscular dystrophy.

Sent proof and customer service just lies and gaslights. Sent pictures of the mattress on the bed literally proving it’s the wrong item. It does not bend and practically falls off the base yet the customer service manager says it’s fine.

Disputing charges, contacting relevant state government authorities, and filing a small claims lawsuit if necessary.

Do not support Spinlife.

FREE TRIAL IS A LIE!

"30-day free trial is a lie. I was charged $274 to return it. We used it for 5 minutes and my mom could not operate it safely. We called the next day to return it and the same company who delivered it came and picked it up (a whole week later). Spin-life deducted the $274 from the refund. FALSE ADVERTISING!"

Do not buy from Spinlife.com

"I was not able to open it up until the place I was going to live was warm in spring. So I left it in the box. The chair was great for less then a week and started not working. Turns out it is a faulty switch that is in the motor. The switch is under warranty. But if I want them to come fix it, it is a 200 bill. Because I didn't by the in home service which is 200 or 250. So see either way they win and make money off of you. You pay for it no matter what. So what do they care if they send you faulty equipment. NEVER BUY FROM THEM! I wish I would of found these reviews before I bought. I will make sure I am warning everywhere I go about this company. 1.5 star out of 5 shows a bad company. People are not happy with them no doubt. "

Do yourself a favor .... order from someone else

"They have excellent customer service if the issues are minor but quickly apparent that they don't care about their clients. On their own website it indicates that they will process your claim with your insurance, I paid for my chair then to discover that I won't be getting a reimbursement... here is a quote from their own webpage "....the process involves these simple steps:

Step 1:
SpinLife will collect the following information:
Insurance Company Name
Insured's Name and ID# or Subscriber#
Group#
Date of Birth (both the insured and the patient, if different)
Insurance Company Member Services Phone #
Insurance Company Claims Mailing Address
Step 2:
HIPAA Release Form. SpinLife will email, fax, or mail you a HIPAA Release Form, which gives your physician and your insurance carrier permission to release relevant medical information to SpinLife so that we can successfully submit your claim. Please respond to this form ASAP.
Step 3:
SpinLife will contact your insurance company to determine eligibility and coverage. Our billing specialists will then contact you with the details, including your total out-of-pocket cost.
Step 4:
You will need to send the prescription from your physician for all eligible equipment. This prescription must be received by SpinLife before your medical equipment is delivered.
Step 5:
After all information is received SpinLife will file your claim with your insurance carrier within 7 days.
Step 6:
Your insurance carrier will process your claim and generally reimburse you within 45-90 days."

Order cancelled by them

"I ordered a vehicle lift for my car, and after a week of waiting with no shipment information, I found out they cancelled my order. They said the lift is not compatible with my vehicle, and cited glaringly incorrect information about my vehicle as the reason for cancelling the order. Of course they wouldn't trust any information I provided to refute them. "

Service is slow and unreliable.

"The staff is courteous and helpful, but they don't follow up on promises or return calls.
I bought mobility scooter last year with the extra 2 year warranty and it took a month to respond after my first call. The problem wasn't fixed entirely and I bought new batteries at thier suggestions but they are not charging because that was never the problem. New parts were ordered and after waiting for over a month, they didn't help either.
I have been without the use of my $1400 scooter for almost 5 months now and they just determined that it is a manufactured defect and cannot be repaired. Now I am waiting to hear if they will send me a new unit and when.
People I talk to are nice, but they seem overworked, hurried and unable to make decisions. Lots of confusion between technicians and contacts. It seems like a badly run company at this point.
I would have rated it with only one star, except for the kindness of the workers.....who seem as frustrated as I have been.

BEWARE - No Returns means No Returns

"I purchased a sling in error, not realizing a sling came with my hoist. When I tried to return the unopened package I was flatly denied. Not a re-stacking fee, or any return possibility. I will never order from a company that doesn't accept unopened packages. I could understand paying for the restocking fee and return service, but just a flat denial to return an unopened product, I never experienced that before. They will never get my business again."

Order for Pride Go Chair

"Bad experience with my white glove delivery order placed 2/6/2018 shipped 2/13/2018 and still do not have the go chair, many mistakes by spin life and Averitt express which did not even have a lift in their truck and no white glove delivery service. Very difficult to get spin life customer service to return calls after numerous attempts today. I have ordered two other power chairs with white glove delivery and had no problems, but with this terrible experience this will be my last order from them."

"I ordered a bariatric shower chair from them on 2 days ago. I just now got an E-mail from them now saying it was on backorder and would not be available. If it was on backorder it should have said so before I ordered it. I called yesterday asking when it would ship. She said today. Now I get a backorder E-mail. That's totally unacceptable. "

"I ordered a scooter for my mother along with some accessories. it took 5 days to even ship the product then it came damaged. I emailed their customer service department immediately. They never returned the email. I called and they did acknowledge receipt of the email and pictures but said it would be a couple days until their warranty department reviewed and made a decision. The manufacturer finally called and they were really good about getting spare parts shipped and a service technician out to install them. Drive, the manufacturer, was perfect. Spinlife.com has yet to make contact 20 days later."
