"I ordered an air hockey table for my sons birthday present. Immediately I received a conformation email and my credit card was billed. There was a standard note on the bill that helmets and "items that require lead time" might take 3-5 business days before they are shipped, so when I hadn't heard anything from the company for several days I wasn't too concerned.
After 5 days of waiting and not getting any shipping information, I decided to contact spinmarket sports. Every time that I called I got a message that nobody was available and to leave my name and numver for a call back. I decided to contact the company through their website instead. The contact page on their website said that my question would be answered within 24 hours.
I waited the 24 hours and was never contacted, so I left a phone message. That message was also not returned. I started calling the company daily with no luck getting through.
I was starting to get pretty worried that I was being scammed out of almost $600, so I started researching the company online. I found numbers to some of their other companies that seemed to be related (Spindustry Interactive and Spindusrty Training). I was going to start calling those companies too, but on the 10th day since my order had been placed I finally got someone on the phone.
When I talked to customer service they took my order number and some other information and said they would call me back. After an hour I got a call back saying that the product I ordered had been discontinued and I would be refunded the money. I asked why I had not been contacted and they did not have an answer. I explained that I had left several messages that were never returned and asked why I wasn't contacted about this. After talking with her for several minutes, I asked to speak to a manager. She said a manager would call me back, that never happened.
I had ordered this as a birthday present for my son. I gave him a birthday card with a picture of the air hockey table at his birthday party. Now I need to find another one.
It would have been fine if they would have contacted me within a day or two and let me know about the mistake. No contact within 10 days and nobody manning the phone or answering emails is UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I suggest that nobody does business with spinmarket.com "
