"Two weeks ago I purchased a skirt that only after wearing did I realize it was longer on one side. This was terribly embarrassing at work. Knowing that today the store was slow and I had time, I went back and tried to exchange it. Only to be told they could not do it, because the system was down and they needed the UPC I understand it was my fault for not having a receipt, but clearly the skirt is poorly made. Cashier suggested I return another day. Problem is, it is out of my way, and to wait for an hour to get assistance during my lunch break is not convenient. I explained this to the cashier and she said I should call before to see if the system is working. I'm not sure what is true, but I purchased the same skirt in another color as there were none available in my size and I will take the other to have tailored. I purchase all my Este Lauder makeup at this store and shop frequently. Never had I needed to return an item. Obviously this is not something that is easily done."
