"After my experience with very poor customer service today at the Clinique counter at Stage in Minden, LA, I will gladly drive an extra 30 minutes to purchase Clinique/clothing elsewhere. Stage is the only department store in Minden, so it has been my go to by default. Not anymore.I approached the Clinique counter with my empty product bottle to get a new one. There was no one there, only one cashier at the center check-out area who had at last 6 people in her line. After a few minutes, she asked if I needed help. I told her I just needed a new bottle of what I had in my hand. She called overhead for Sandra to assist me at the Clinique counter. About 5 minutes later, she picks up the phone again to call overhead (her line was still full), and I overhear someone ask did you call me? The cashier said yes, a customer needs assistance at the Clinique counter. Sandra walks up to me, does not make eye contact, and says what do you want? I handed her my bottle, she walks behind the counter as if my asking for this product is inconveniencing her, grabs the bottle, hands it to me, and leaves the Clinique counter. She gets about 20 feet away from me before turning around and saying you can get in line over here. She indicated that line full of people- I would be the sixth or seventh in line at this point. I have always been rung up at the Clinique counter in the past, and have never had a bad experience prior to dealing with this sales associate. I get in line and wait. About 10 minutes later, Sandra walks back around to where we are and opens another register, stating I can get someone over here. At this point, I am fourth in line and have at least three people behind me. I leave this line to go to her register, at which time she sees who I am, does not speak to me, and says have a nice day after I complete my purchase. She does not make eye contact the entire time.I have worked retail. I was embarrassed by how I was treated today, and I won't return."
