"Placed order on internet for a Sony Cyber-Shot digital camera. Got a telephone call next morning from a person with high pressure sales pitches for "extra high capacity" battery. There is only ONE battery for this camera. I was pushed very hard to order a high speed charger. I ordered both of these items. The pressure to order a long term warranty was intense. But, I was able to resist even through three price cuts. Bottom line: if ordered directly from Sony.com I would have saved money. The camera appears new and was delivered quickly.
The invoice was not itemized so I do not what I paid for each individual item."
"I ordered a Canon Powershot S2IS. I was told the memory card which came with the camera would take 2 pictures only. They tried to sell me a 1 gig ultra fast card for $90. I ended up negotiating 2 gig card for $100. When the camera came in the mail, it was a different model than I ordered. It was a S3IS. I did not realize the error immediately. But based upon the previous postings here, they do this deliberately. I've done some research, and it seems the camera I received is a better camera. I assume it is brand-new, it appears be. One strange thing was it did not come with the 16 MB card that it was supposed to have. They told me that the model was being discontinued and that their last shipment came without cards. Sounds pretty lion to lame to me. I have not told them about the camera model issue, thinking that I should leave well enough alone."
"Ordered Casio EX V7 camera on line. Received a call in which "James" offered me "much better" accessories than were available from Casio, all at high prices. for example a high speed 2 gig memory card for $99.99, which, I later learned, retails on line for $20. similar claims of greatly "superior" performance for battery charger, spare battery, and extended warranty. Shipment arrived minus the battery charger. Full price charged to credit card despite non-delivery of battery charger. A telephone call last week promised delivery by yesterday, another call today promised dellivery in two days. Asked to have card credited for absent charger, refused and told it was "in the mail".
In summary, they hype acessories as super high performance, charge outlandish prices, then send run of the mill items."
"I actually ordered from digitalnerds.com which is basically the same people. I called before I ordered to make sure that the camera was new as the price was just so amazing. I was told that it was new. So I ordered (Canon S3 IS) and received an email stating that I needed to call to confirm my order. Well that made no sense to me but I called as I wanted this shipped ASAP (also paid for 3 day shipping). Well the gentlmen tried to get me to buy a 1gig sd card for $149. I declined and he asked why I purchased a refurbished camera instead of a new one. Well I told him that I had just called prior to placing my order and was told that the camera was new. He says OH we do have a new one but it is $100 more. I at this time told him to go ahead and cancel the order as I was told the camera I was looking at online was a new camera. He says No he will not cancel the order. I said Yes you will this is not what I was told and I want this order cancelled. He says I will not cancel this order until you say PLEASE. OH I WAS SO ANGRY. I told hime that if he did not cancel this order I would call my CC company and dispute the charge and he would get a chargeback fee. He said go ahead cause this will go to collections an ruin your credit. Words were exchanged more between this man and my husband whom I turned the phone over to. We eventually got hung up on and I called the CC company and just cancelled the card.
SAVE YOURSELVES THE TROUBLE DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE RUDE. "
"Please DO NOT buy from this company, AKA, the digital expo. I ordered my camera and got an email to confirm the order by phone, although I thought that was strange, I did it anyway. When I called, I was convinced I had to purchase other accessories such as three filters, two lenses and a card reader. Non of which can be used on my camera, since they don't fit and don't work on the camera. I was told I could not return the items, because I waited a week to long to call them to return them. I ended up spending approximately seven hundred dollars more than I needed to due to the hard sell and my own ignorance about such scams. Shame on them. They should be put out of business immediately."
"Web site showed $318 for a Panasonic TZ3, shipped me
a DMC-LX2S for $489.99 which was on my credit card.
Returned the item and received the TZ3.
Jeffery Olson @ X 203 said the corrected invoice would be in the box, which it was't. Left a phone
message in his mailbox but my phone calls was not
returned."
"These guys are hard-pressure sell and then don't deliver as promised. I ordered a digital camera (Casio Exilim Z850) with a memory card upgrade and a battery upgrade as part of a "value package." What a joke. They sent me a 1MG card instead of the 2MG card I ordered and a completely different camera! When I called to complain, the guy said, "That's an upgraded model." I said, "But it's not the camera I ordered!" Note: I wanted a specific feature that didn't come on the so called upgrade. The invoice doesn't break out any of the individual item prices, so I can't tell which items cost what. From the conversation with the original sales rep, I know that they sell the 1MG for around $100, when I can go to BestBuy and get it for $35. 20% restocking fee and too annoying. Now, I have to spend more to ship back the wrong camera and see if they can get it right. What a nightmare. Plus, their offices were completely shut down for an entire week in honor of Passover. Now, I have to wait an extra week for my exchange? Some skeleton crew should at least keep operations running!"
"I wish I would have found this website before I had made my purchase. It completely boggles my mind how this “company” if they can even be called one, is legally allowed to stay open. I don’t understand how everyprice.com could have ALL positive reviews about this company. Looks like there is a deal between the two companies b/c there is nothing positive about digitalexpo.com. I had made a purchase through digitalexpo.com. As every other review posted before mine, I received an email stating to call to confirm my order. So I call for several days, even calling during operating hours but get answer machine saying they are closed. Finally get a hold of a rude man today on the phone. He asks me what camera I bought... and then I get transferred several times. A man finally gets back on the phone (not sure if it’s the same one) and is very short with his responses. He asks the billing address zip code and my name? Doesn’t make sense. He doesn’t ask any other questions. He tells me that the camera is out of stock and tries to hang up the phone. I stop him and tell him that I didn’t even give him my confirmation #, and he stated that yes I did. I told him that I did not, he proceeds by asking me how old I am and if I’m on crack... and then hangs up on me? I then call back 4 more times... I call customer service and the line for order questions.. and the same man picks up. I ask to speak to a manager.. the man says he’s not in and hangs up. This happens a couple more times. I finally have my husband call in, and he got hung up on. My husband finally gets a hold of the man without getting hung up on, asks him about our order # and the man responds by saying he told him 4 times the ordered has been cancelled and hangs up! I’m just worried about my credit card being charged from previous posts. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!!! Major major scam. Looks like it’s an in house business operation with one man running the show with a name change every several months. How is this business still open?"
"SCAM! Same as many other's experiences. Called to confirm camera order, was told the battery would last only 20 minutes... yeah right! I stated the manufacturer states the battery lasts for 350+ shots. He says "Simple yes or no question, do you want the battery for $80 or not?". Of course not. So then I stated, "this is a factory sealed item as I was led to believe by your web site right?" He hesitates and says "no, not for this price, do you want a brand new one for $80 more?" I stated their website says nothing about this being refurbished. He stated a few rude comments, canceled my order, and hung up on me! I have never dealt with such a rude dishonest company in my life. I even tried calling back to speak to someone else about it, and the first words out of the (different) person's mouth was "I am not here to argue with you". I said "me either, who's arguing?". Then he hung up on me. What is going on here? You would think if they would get more scams by at least being polite about it!
Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs!"
"Do not do business with this company under any circumstances. They use deceptive sales practices. They aggressively push add-on items at exhorbitant prices that they portray as excellent deals. Their invoice will not show itemized prices for anything. They only show the total price and call it a value package. This means they are charging ridiculously high prices for certain things like batteries. They also charged $80.56 for shipping/insurance that UPS said cost them $29.73.They represented their version of the Sony FP90 as a 12 hour battery for a price of $169. The capacity is only 2900 mah like almost any other battery available for a much lower price. You can get a comparable 2800 mah battery at many other places for only $17 to $60. The customer service reps are useless. They just put you on hold forever. If you buy anything from this company you will want to call your credit card company to dispute the charge like I did. It is best to just call another more reputable company. Don't be lured in by their low advertised price for a single item."
"I purchased a Casio digital camera from WAWA Digital in December ’05. Mike, the salesman told me that the camera comes with a battery good for only 10 photos so I need to upgrade, which meant to buy extended life battery. In fact he sent me the original Casio battery (that comes with the camera and is an extended life battery), plus another cheap battery for $45. (Needless to say that the original battery runs for 250+ photos).
On the other hand he sold me a five-year extended warranty that I have not received to this day. My card has been overcharged (aprox. $24) for shipping insurance or Michigan taxes (??), whatever I want to consider (per salesman’s supervisor remark).
Anyhow I end up paying for a $297 camera $460 plus $22.22 S&H.
The ***-***-****/ ***-***-****/ ***-***-**** numbers are unreachable.
How can they still do business with all these complains against them?

"Add the name "THE DIGITAL EXPO" to what appears to be numerous company names used by The Camera Whz Inc. (or The Camera Whiz - two different spellings on the invoices). An online listing for prices for a camera listed the lowest price by The Digital Expo. We chose to order by phone verses placing an order by internet. My telephone order went fairly smoothly (I was prepared for the "hard sell" and had predetermined what I was willing to purchase). Although I have not found any problems with the camera and other items ordered there was a delay in shipping the order without any explaination or information from the company. They were quick to charge my credit card but from what I can deduct from the UPS tracking information (the notation of when the billing information was recieved by UPS) they were extemely slow about paying for the shipping so that the package could get on it's way. UPS did not have billing information recieved until 4 business days after my credit card was charged. UPS delivered in 5 business days from the time of their origin scan. Thank you UPS for being ontime. I probably will not order from this company again do to their unreliable shipping practices and difficulty contacting them during hours that they are supposed to be open but were not. The invoices and billing to my credit card was from The Camera Whiz (or The Camera Wiz). At this point one wonders how many names this company is operating under. "
"Unable to contact store. Keep getting something like: "The Store is closed. Please call back during business hours. Eastern Time". In fact, I called the store several times during their business hours and kept getting this message. They were supposed to include the standard memory stick with my camera, but it seems they removed it. Now I have to spend extra money for something they left out.

"Bunch of crooks! Camera bought was listed at $439 on-line and ended up getting charged over $1100.
Phone number disconnected, no way to contact, so I disputed my charge with credit card company.
BEWARE!!!!"
"I ordered on 8/31 and had the same experience as Rich561 - No request to call, no tracking number for my order, no answer to subsequent emails, phone number stripped from customer service info. On 9/8 I see a cash advance charge of $150 for a visa card from a company in Curacao! This was a brand new card. Stargate Photo was my first and only use of it, so the fraud could only have been committed by them. It looks like they've done away with the pretense of selling anything, and graduated to straight credit card number harvesting. BEWARE, and watch your credit!"
