"Fantastic ordering experience. I did have some questions and they were handled perfectly and quickly. They respond super fast to email and spoke with the owner Josef who was extremely polite. I couldn't have asked for a better experience."
"Great customer service and very knowledgeable personnel!"
"I have purchased 2 fully loaded gaming computers from StealthMachines in the past year; the second as a result of the performance and reliability of the first acquisition.
With the second computer, I had a problem with Internet connectivity reliability which was addressed and solved within a few email exchanges with the company owner himself (the problem I was having was NOT the fault of the acquired computer, rather it was the fault of the wireless router I was using).
Not only did the company help with my initial configuration (sizing and pricing), but also suggested newly upgraded hardware for my second computer.
This is, without a doubt, the most factual, knowledgeable, straight forward, and reliable company from which I have ever purchased computer hardware. I know where I'm going the next time I intend to upgrade my computers.
I recommend StealthMachines to anyone looking for the best gaming computers that you can buy. I'm even looking at one of their laptops for my next upgrade."
"So, it's been two years since I purchased from stealth machines and I realized I never had a chance to get around to this when I originally purchased the computer.
So, in November of 2010 I had just returned from training and decided I wanted a powerhouse computer. I was a novice in the field and Josef and his team explained everything to me in the simplest terms possible and gave me a system that exceeded my standards. It was well built and nicely manufactured. However, about a year and a half after receiving my computer my home was hit by a natural disaster and suffered some damage. I originally thought it was fine ( as it was still running ) but it appeared as if the motherboard had shorted. I sent in the computer for RMA and received a phonecall shortly after. It was reported to me that the computer was heavily damaged and covered in gunk and grime. Part of this I can attest to, as there were smokers in my house and the vents in the actual computer were littered with some debris ( considering the wall of my room had been crushed. ) It was also mentioned there was extensive damage to the case and heatsink ( They were not shipped this way, all of the damage was related to water and dust etc. ) Unfortunately, Fedex didn't cover their end of the bargain, or so I assume, but I never received word of an inspector coming to see the damage shipping had done to my computer ( despite the insurance placed on the package. ) I can't blame stealth machines for this. Unfortunately, a brief time after this incident I was deployed to onsight training and remained there for a palmful of months. Sadly, I accrued a bill for storage on my computer and found no feasible way to pay it off ( I was injured while training.)
I will state, after all the trouble, Josef and his company treated me fairly, competently and provided me with a fantastic computer. I wish I could have got it back, but life isn't always fair. I wish this company the best of luck and I know you'll be glad to purchase a machine of your own. "
"UPDATE 2012-10-03: Josef contacted me within hours of posting this. He honored the discount certificate, and refunded the rush charge. He offered to try to do something about the keyboard issue, but I declined. I feel the way he handled my complaints was very professional and indicative of the level of service described in the other reviews here. He has told me that he will correct the website to reflect the actual keyboard configuration of the laptop model I purchased.

Although the computer that I received is very nice, there were a few problems I had with this reseller that would prevent me from ordering again.
The first problem is really very minor, kind of technical, and I would give this seller the benefit of the doubt about this one thing were it not followed by the others. Basically, I made an order that didn't go through (in the process of moving, changing billing addresses, etc). I then received an email with a discount certificate for $50 toward a purchase. I then made a second, successful order which I tried to apply the discount to. I received no response one way or the other, and ended up not benefiting from the discount. I can kind of see why the seller might not honor it, as essentially the second order was a modification of the original order, made pre-discount email.
The second thing was substantially off-putting, but not the worst. Because of the payment snafu I experienced, I needed to order the computer rushed. So I paid for this seller's next-day assembly and shipping. $43, if I remember correctly. However, because of the previously mentioned changes of address, paypal decided to do a fraud check--they called me the same day I made the order, but according to stealthmachines, this delayed construction and shipping by three days. However, I was still charged for the next-day service which was obviously not provided. Also, I was not contacted by stealthmachines about this delay--I had to contact them wondering if I should have received an email with a routing number. It seems more like they misplaced my order.
Finally, the product is significantly different from what I ordered. The description of the laptop online is very clear in outlining all the nice things about the computer, the case, all the neat ports, and a nifty backlit keyboard with programmable colors. This keyboard, now, was not the main selling point to me, but I thought "how nice, I will be able to see the keyboard in dim light and I can make it pretty." The laptop I received used a different case by the same manufacturer, sans nifty keyboard. Fine, not a huge deal--if it hadn't advertised this keyboard, I probably would have bought it anyway, but we don't live in a world of counterfactuals, and I in fact did buy a computer that is supposed to have a nifty lit up keyboard. This discrepancy made me wonder what else might not be as ordered. Luckily, according to the system info windows provides, all else is right, though I haven't cracked the case to check. What bothers me most, though, is the total lack of response from stealthmachines when I inquired about this issue. There is no indication that they have the slightest qualm about delivering a different product than is advertised.
I could have overlooked any one of these three issues, but the net effect is an unwillingness to consider this company for another computer purchase, and I could not in good conscience recommend them to a friend or family member."
"i am a big gamer and i have ordered rigs from digital storm..voodoo..and vicious pc. placing my order on the website was very good and very nice price compared to what i have paid before. after my order was submitted i received a call about my configuration. i was told what they recommended and why. some of the choices they offered were cheaper. some i took and some no..over all the from my experience stealthmachines want to just build and provide you with the best and most trouble free rig. brian...baltimore maryland"
"It's been a long time since I've found a business that reminds me of a hometown favorite. I used to got to smaller shops back in the day and work with the staff to build custom PCs and would spend hours going over configurations, asking opinions, making adjustments, and finally walking out with a dream machine. It's hard to find that kind of hands-on service these days -- and to think I'd find it online was kinda crazy. But that is what StealthMachines is -- a great place that knows their stuff, has the parts and pieces I was looking for, and amazingly delivers all that at a really great price. I would definitely buy from them again and have already recommended many friends to give them a look.
Thanks again for a great experience!

"It was really easy to select the part for the rig i wanted. Their customer service was exelent, no waiting on hold just a direct line to the owner. The only thing i did not like was to get your computer in 10 days they charge a 100ish rush fee, if you dont pay that it takes about a month to get it."
"This company is a great place to purchase your custom built computer. The pricing is vey competitive and ships on time. The customer service is awesome, they will email you or call back promptly. The website is easy to navigate and will compare components to help make the computer exactly what you need. We will continue to order from Stealth Machines."
"Stealth Machines did a great job with helping me pick out my new rig. I got some great feedback on what parts work well together and are generally good quality. The email response time was slow at some points but all around a great experience. As always, building a computer yourself is cheaper but I think these guys do great work. The ten year warranty is comforting and we'll see if I even need it! Thanks!"
"I am one very happy customer! I just received my Espionage desktop from Stealth Machines today and it is AWESOME! So far the performance is ripping fast. The Thermaltake GT Snow case is beautiful and I can't believe how quite this thing is. My wife came in and actually asked if it was on. My experience with Josef and Stealth Machines was excellent. Order process was smooth. Josef actually called me after my order just to make sure the order was correct and to ensure my system was spec'd properly. Time from order to deliver was very fast....10 working days. I have done business with several big named competitors in the past, but as of now, Josef and Stealth Machines have won me over. I would...and will....recommend them to anyone looking for a new gaming rig. Keep it up guys. And Josef.....thank you.
Regards,
Rich"
"I had a very good experience ordering from and working with StealthMachines to complete my order. I would recommend this company to anyone."
"I really didn't want to write a bad review for Stealth Machines. Everything about them looks amazing: their products, the fact they are involved with a solar panel company... everything LOOKS great about this company and what they do.
But the custom machine I got from them has been nothing but trouble from day one. It is still quite buggy, crashes often, has unexplained slow downs, runs hot (with fan always at max speed and noise, despite a liquid cooling system - if I shut the door to my room the room gets 4 or 5 degrees hotter within an hour or so). The original bios chip had (apparently) never been tested and didn't work upon arrival, so I had to order a new one through EVGA before I could ever even get the darn thing up and running. I still have an unresolved issue where it will, randomly, reassign the drive boot sequence so that windows never loads - so I have to open the tower, unplug my other HD's and restart it so that it will reset to the SSD - this happens about once a week or so. The list goes on and on. I even paid extra for a "rush" and never even got to use the thing for over a month and a half after receiving it because of all these problems (many of which are still present and ongoing). I highly doubt it will ever work correctly, and for what I had to pay, that is completely unacceptable. All these problems have received nonchalant and disinterested responses from the company, and they have always directed me to EVGA instead - so basically I've had to try and solve all my problems myself. I should have either bought from a big box or else learned a little bit more about how to build computers and built it myself with parts directly from EVGA - 'cause they're who I've had to deal with anyway. There has been practically no support aid from Stealth Machines.
Again, I feel quite bad giving this company a bad review. It looks like most other people are quite satisfied with their purchases so mine may be some perfect storm of problems... but I've never had so many frustrations and problems with a machine before. That includes the pos (brand name removed for site term violations) I got for my mother years ago that ran Windows ME.
I don't like supporting big box stores or big corporate electronic companies like (names removed for violation of website policy), but I've had so many problems with this machine that at this point I don't care anymore. I just want reliable products, and Stealth Machines did not deliver that to me."
"Great service and fast delivery. As computer arrived I just had to finish some small assembly (stuff that would be damaged in transit) and install the OS (I did not get the OS from them). Later I had a few questions and their support was quick and effective. No complaints whatsoever."
"wow I can't say enough I purchased a $5,500 laptop custom built to my specs and StealthMachines came through with flying colors! I am truly future proof with this build. I have destroyed over the counter laptops and now I have something that my kids will enjoy as I pass it on. Video production, Music editing to burning this Laptop does it all, at the same time reducing my "rendering" to mins! Delivered on time, helped with cost cutting, passed on great advice, easy to reach and is the best kept secret in the industry! One negative, I didn't get a t-shirt! "
