"My school's lab only has 6 working computer stations, and there are 20 students, so I volunteered to purchase and install our circuit simulation software (Multsim by NI). I purchased, sent them an email verifying my student status, and had my activation code the same day. Everything works, and I can't complain!"
"The positive reviews are clearly fake. I purchased an instant download that is not instantly available. This is definitely a scam. "
"I never could load the program that I purchased from studica. Wrong authorization code was the problem. I talked with a technical support person, but that person didn't have the correct authorization code either - weird. The sales rep stated that I couldn't get my money back since the package had been open. I ended up purchasing from studentdiscounts.com - with no problem "
"they sent me a invaild serial number. When I asked them about it, they told me to email the company that makes the software. Solidworks told me to go back to Studica because theyre the ones that sold the serial numbers. "
"Customer service is a joke. Their no return policy for anything is a scam. I needed to purchase Multism application for class. I purchased an application that was not compatible with my computer and so requested a refund. They don't issue a refund because it was processed on their end while I didn't even download down the application yet. It was less than 10 mins between when I placed the order to when I read a review that it wasn't compatible. Customer service representative was nonexistence and blanketed no refund policy as their answer for every reason. "
"The products were all discounted fast friendly service."
"Ordered my download of Labview got it quickly easy to install! "
"I am a college student and needed to purchase labVIEW in order to complete a course. I ordered after seeing their ad in National Instruments, they need to cancel these people. I emailed saying that the link was not working, just taking me in a loop. I received and email back saying "We are pleased that you have ordered...." The email was formatted unprofessionally, like an amateur or tech geek sent the email. I am thinking that these guys are professional scam artists. Either way, I asked for my money back. No response. "
"I ordered Quickbooks Software from Studica and never received the package. I filed a claim and here I am almost 2 months later with no software, no refund and zero help from Customer Service. Cust service representative stated they have to wait for Fed Ex to investigate prior to giving me a refund or my product. Studica ****!!"
"I ordered a software for "instant" download, (a retail copy, not a student one), and 6 days later, I still haven't received it. I quite literally could have ordered a physical release from Amazon for $10 less, and received it twice, by now, but didn't because I wanted the software faster, instead of cheaper. Well now I've been screwed twice. "
"Ordered my download, got it for a great price and the verification process was easy! Would buy from them again :) "
"I attempted to purchase music software for my son's high school activities. I am also a University professor. This product was offered at a slight discount. No verification of student (or faculty) status was required. The delivery is supposed to be downloadable software, assumedly with a license or activation key. The company charged my debit card immediately and then sent me an email on the next business day that the software that they sold me for electronic delivery was back ordered for 3-5 business days. What in the world does that even mean? How can electronic software delivery be backordered? They ran out of licenses/activation codes? It is absurd. At this point, I have asked for a refund. I will update this post once I find out what they intend to do with my refund request. If they refund my purchase promptly, I will bump it up to 2 stars. For now, they get the clown 1 star rating. AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE BACK ORDER PURGATORY AND DO NOT NEED YOUR SOFTWARE PRODUCT FOR A WEEK OR MORE."
"This is an online based book store that has nothing in stock even though the website says they do. If you order a book from Studica expect a back-order waiting time of 5 days and the additional shipping time to you which is another 3 - 5 days. They should change the name of Studica to "Back-OrderBooks.com". I find it unacceptable that they don't make the consumer aware of this. Now Im going to get docked a week because of this and possibly lose my financial aid. Studica is the pits... Save yourself from a massive headache and avoid this place like the plague that it is. "
"I know Studica is global company. I have used Studica many of times.
The UK office shut down but has now open as Studica Europe. Customer service is great.
There is an issue - if stock if coming from America it can take up to a week but i'll be honest that is not an issue for me. The pricing is good and beats retail pricing by far!
I will continue using Studica Europe UK. Im sure the bad reviews are for the other offices worldwide."
"Can I give it a negative star rating? That would be a "5" assuming it represents the worst of the worst. Well, its not that bad, but they charge you and then say they need "verification." Apparently, my university ID wasn't good enough for them, so I sent what they specifically asked for. Thinking that the confirmation would come fairly quickly was completely wrong--it has been 5 days. No response to my second attempt and I still cannot access my download. The idea that they charge you before your status can be identified is all wrong. It should be the other way around. What about those folks to really do not qualify and yet Studica still charges them the full amount. Anyway, this is my first purchase with this outfit and likely be my last...I'll stick with Academic Superstore in the future."
