"The ordering process went smoothly, and I received an email notice as soon as I completed placing my order (on 4/20). One week later, I had not heard anything about the order, so on 4/27 I emailed the address given in the original notice. The company does not have an order status area on their website.

I never received a reply to my first query.

On 5/2, I received an invoice in the post showing my order, and that I had paid for the order. Since I had not received the item yet, I emailed the company again asking for my order status.

I never received a reply to my second query.

The next day, I received a package containing my item.

So while the ordering process went well, and I received the item I expected, the communications between the order and the final receipt was nonexistent. I am used to much better communications from web-based companies.
