"Made an order from Manitoba Canada. Shippin and handlin was listed as 5..15$ on the webpae. Then i waited for 6 weeks. Finally the sound proof foam came, but not the other items..
Then i started to receive emails that I owe extra for shippin. The extra was 100% of the initial order cost. I called, the had accidentally not sent the second half of the order.
This seems like a scam. If its not a scam they need to discover how to ship to international customers. 350$ in shippin for 300$ in items is criminal.
i would never buy from them in retrospect"
"After waiting almost a month with no package in the mail, I attempted to contact their sales to inquire what the situation was. I received a reply from them stating they had tried time and time again to get in touch with me but failed to in regards to the shipping method for the package. Nevermind the fact that my email was in the reply that they sent back. Suddenly what should've been a routine and simple procedure of taking a box to the post office, putting postage on it, and sending it on it's way became the worst debacle I've ever encountered with an online store. First, I was told that a particular shipping method was not available. I sent the link to the USPS page with exactly that method. I'll quote one email:
"Maybe once you receive your product you can walk it back to the post office and see what other services they offer."
An email exchange ensued with basically the sales rep telling me that it was not possible to do what obviously was possible. I've been sent packages the very same way many times over, except the ineptitude of this company prevented them from accomplishing what so many before them have been able to do.
Poor web design, even worse customer service, and not all that good prices. I'd shop elsewhere if you want to save yourself the headache."
"The person I spoke with on the phone seemed to know quite a bit about soundproofing and when I made arrangements to drive the 100 miles from LA to their facility in San Marcos the following morning, I expected to get more feedback about my application. When I arrived, I was the only customer there and I felt instantly like I was inconveniencing the two staff members there. The salesperson seemed to know enough about soundproofing to be dangerous, and that's about what happened as he led me to believe that I could use mass loaded vinyl (MLV) in my application w/o understanding more fully how my problem could be resolved more easily. I spent $500 trying to soundproof a room in my apartment using MLV when I could have achieved better results simply by putting up a suspended ceiling sans MLV. Several contractors told me this. As a retired aerospace engineer with very little sound engineering experience, the experience felt more like I was buying an impulse item at a convenience store than investing in critical home construction to control noise in an apartment that I rent. "
"web site not very professional looking but the soundproofing materials I ordered came on time and were as advertised. no complaints."
