"6/6/11 I ordered an 8GB Adata flash drive from Super Media Store for $15.99 as advertised in a sale. When I got the drive I was supposed to get on Adata's web site and register it for my warranty. I could not get on their site so I called Super Media Store. The first person I talked too was short and would not lift a finger to help. Irritated, I called back one more time before calling the credit card company for a refund. The second person I got attempted to help telling me that this problem has happened before and on more than one occasion. The first thing that came to my mind was, why are you still selling their product when they make it impossible for a customer to register their products. She finally got in herself and said that she successfully registered it for me and that I would get a confirmation email from Adata that it was properly registered. I never got the e-mail, so I e-mailed them back and got no response so I tried calling Super Media Store, they would not answer the phone but had me leave a message and said they would call me back, which they did not do in a few days so I am writing this review to alert everyone to think twice before doing business with them. On top of it, a couple days after I bought the drive for $15.99 on their sale, they went and put it back on sale for $13.99, a 13% price drop. This tells me exactly how much they respect their customers. They should refund the $2 they over charged me. What legitimate company is going to sell a product at one price, then change it to a lower price two or three days later without making good the price charged to the customers who previously over paid for it and then sell a product that requires it being registered for the warranty by a web site that one cannot access. Think twice before buying from these shysters for sure.
Super Media Store continues to keep making me madder and madder. I submitted a review a few days ago for the Adata 8Gb flash drive that I purchased from them for $15.99. (See the review on their web site originally submitted several days ago and come back to read this update.) Today is 6/16, ten days after I ordered the drive. They finally called me back to fix the registration with Adata, days after I sent an e-mail and a phone call which they would not answer. The excuse was that it was not their web site so they did not complete the registration properly. Well. the day after I submitted the first review, they went and changed the price of the drive again. Now, you can purchase it for $11.98 if you buy 2 of them. Eight days after I bought the drive from them on good faith that they were giving me a fair sale price, they drop the cost by $4.00, a 25% drop. When I confronted them with this they have no price matching policy so they will not credit me the $4 difference. Instead of getting the credit, which I feel they should have given me, I got an argument that they have done no wrong, but if I wanted to, I could return the item to them, at my expense, and that they would refund me the $15.99. It would cost me more to return it than I would get in the savings and why should I pay for their customer irritating practices, they are the one in the wrong here, not me. They got me so mad that I promised this review update, which they would not even allow me to update (thus why it is here) and they asked me to do the review in the first place. And by the way, you may never see this because after 2 or 3 days they sill have not posted my first review, so do they block reviews they do not like. (Sounds like communism to me). I got mad enough that I called my credit card company to see if I was entitled to the refund and sure enough I am and they are processing the dispute with them. Now they will not only pay back the $4.00, but they will pay a fine to the credit card company, not to mention that I may never order from them again, and neither should you. Any company that does business this way deserves to go under. There are honest ones out there that no one needs to buy from the shyster that they are.
Super Media's reply below is exactly as I would have expected; they surely would be home in DC. Completely avoid the issues just as did earlier. You would have been better ignoring me than writing the pile of doo-doo you did. I'l have to find a new source for my blank media purchases for sure as would anyone else that reads their BS."
