"I purchased a rail kit from this store which advertised that it was for "Short depth" chassis. What I received was the standard full depth rail kit which is too long for my cabinet. They refused to provide a full refund for the item saying that the shipping is nonrefundable. This is not listed anywhere on their website for this item or in their return policy. They also expected me to pay the return shipping for their fraudulent product. I am filing a BBB complaint against them for fraud and will see if my credit card company can reverse the charges for this order. How do you falsely advertise a product and then refuse to fully refund it when it is not what the customer ordered? I even have a chat transcript with their employee confirming that the item received is not as advertised as well as admitting that they don't carry short depth rail kits."
"Our office was so dissatisfied with Supermicro. Supermicro strung us along for 3-4 weeks telling us they needs a specific information from our old IT company. We got the information for Supermicro and Supermicro proceeded to tell us they now need different information., also you could not get threw to them. it took Supermicro sometimes 5 days before they would respond. also they did not have any number to contact them at, all they had was a email address. When our old IT company would not get in contact with us or give us the correct information supermicro did not help us at all. This was by far the worst experience we have had with a Manufacturer."
"Beware when purchasing a SuperMicro product with the X10DRT motherboard for use with an Intel E5 v4 processor. They will ship it to you with an old BIOS from almost a year and a half ago, which does NOT support the v4 processor. In order to utilize a v4 processor, you will need to purchase a v3 processor, flash the BIOS to 2.0 or later, then switch it back to the v4 processor.
I'm sure this is an awesome motherboard, and I will change my rating once I have confirmed that SuperMicro is shipping these already flashed to 2.0. Until then, I got screwed and paid a premium in both the extra expense of a v3 processor and my time to get the v4 processors working."
"After purchasing X7DAL-E-O motherboard and buying two E5405 CPUs which are listed as supported by Supermicro and Newegg, the machine failed to start. After a week of debating the details with Supermicro they found that the CPUs are not supported and they refused to fix the problem. Newegg.com was happy to help me resolve the problem. This tells me that Supermicro is only concerned with making money and not making their customers happy. This was not a simple mistake. Newegg.com was very nice and helped me resolve the issue by allowing me to RMA the E5405 and purchase the E5335. I will not be purchasing anything related to Supermicro and I strongly suggest other take the same path. I've been building PCs since the i8088 and the IBM PCjr. I have not encountered a manufacturer that was so unreasonable. Thank you for your attention."
"We have been a Supermicro Reseller since 1994. A PO #022505 Replacement part order of redundant faulty power supply module not honored after almost 2 months of wait. This is not an acceptable turnaround for replacement parts."
