Well, second time I've faced inordinate hassles by ordering from them online.
1st -- I ordered a chair slipcover about 4 years ago. I NEVER GOT IT and was never contacted by them. I finally called and found out that the package was misaddressed (only the street name, no house number) and returned, but they never contacted me AND I was still charged on my credit card. I had to fight to get a refund and they wouldn't send me a replacement without charging for shipping a second time.
2nd -- Well, 4 years later and the bad taste had left my mouth, so I tried ordering a sofa slipcover. Again, misaddressed and this time when I was tracking the package, I immediately saw that the package did not get delivered because it was misaddressed. I called UPS and they said that to call the shipper and they can change the address. Well, I called SureFit and they said 1. It was my fault it was misaddressed and 2. I would have to call UPS and pay a $6 fee to have the address changed.
Just a note -- I order EVERYTHING online (from drugstore.com to large pieces of furniture) and have been for 10 years. NOTHING has ever been misaddressed except my Sure Fit orders. hmmm... two out of two orders with them.
And, even if I did make an error -- you would think that a customer-service oriented company would try to assist me. Rather than "blame me" or UPS. The rep actually said -- "This is really UPS' fault -- I mean, how many times did they try to make a delivery?"
So, now shopping for slipcovers from a different company.
