"My original order had 5 items but one item must not have been available and a partial return on my order for this one item was given.
I received 4 pair of pants, all of which were supposed to be size 24. Only 1 pair was the correct size. One pair of pants was XS - Waist 24-25 inch, NOT SIZE 24. The 2nd was a pair of jeans which were 24 x 33 inch, NOT SIZE 24.
The 3rd pair of pants was brand denim 24/7, size 16W, NOT SIZE 24. All of these sizes were on tags on each pair of pants.
I wanted to return these 3 items due to the incorrect size from what was stated on their website, but because of the partial refund they had issued for an item that was unavailable, it would not allow me to get to their return portal. Also, the only contact is to send an email, which so far, has not been answered.
This is not the first time they have sent items that are not as stated on their website, but they wouldn't let me return or receive a refund for them. This is the last time I will order from Swap.com."
"I sent in my first box and was not happy with the $14.99 UPS cost. They listed my items extremely low and when they finally sold I received pennies after the $14.99 was deducted. But in my haste to sell items I then requested to send in a few more boxes at my own cost. I work in logisitcs and has a better shipping rate than $14.99. I sent the boxes in with my own shipping label. I included there label with an X through it thinking that was how they tracked incoming merchandise. I tracked the boxes and they were delivered. I saw the boxes on my profile were received with the estimated date for listing. Then a few weeks later they were gone. I contacted customer service and explained the situation and they said they could not accept the boxes because I used my own shipping and the boxes were being returned. Well I never got them back. They were boxes full of coats which I could have donated to a shelter. I just checked the site to see if my last payout was issued and I see "Our seller program is currently closed for re-evaluation. For more information please visit our Seller FAQs."

"Nothing like opening dirty bags of clothes. It's just gross and then they take items out of your cart AFTER PAYING FOR THEM and do not notify you that they are not coming. Then you send the smelly, dirty clothes back and they gave you a credit for more smelly dirty clothes. "
"Swap used to be an amazing place to get awesome deals but I noticed a couple years ago things were taking a downward turn, this year they've completely lost my business. I shop from the juniors section as I love the younger and fresher styles but they sent me all little kids clothes. I had to return over half of what I'd bought, it was a huge waste of time. I'll skip them in the future and look at some other online clothing consignment shops."
"I've bought from Swap for a few years and I was always been pretty satisfied, until my last order, jeans, said good condition, stretch material, well when I received them they were not stretch but 100% cotton, and they had large brown stains on the legs which I could not get out, well I guess they'll end up being work in the garden jeans. Very disappointed, don't think I will be shopping there again."
"I never received anything back for the two boxes I sent. No return items or any funds for sales made. Everything was brand names (Anthropologie, Levi’s, Free People, etc) and new with tags. Nothing was ever listed. And somehow I owe $14.99 for items I sent. Better off donating than owing money for SENDING swap.com “FREE” clothes. I’m very disappointed. They definitely are scammers. "DO NOT SEND YOUR CLOTHES TO THIS COMPANY. I sent nice quality clothing to this company for the "trial" to see if they would accept my boxes. Ann Taylor, Good American Jeans, Talbots, White House Black Market to name a few. My box was accepted as being high enough quality for them to sell. The items in my account are kids clothes. I have tried to contact them by email a couple of times with absolutely no response. No idea where my clothes are. BEWARE!!!!"
"Bought 6 items. Out of the 6, one had period stains in the crotch BAD, so disgusting and really really noticeable, a sweater I ordered was riddles with holes…like 8 holes throughout, I ordered a gray pair of pants but received a blue pair that was worn so thin you could see through them, and a men’s jacket turned out to be a woman’s…all they would have had to do is look at the sleeve and it was obviously a woman’s with the length. I sent back 2 items (I was afraid to send back 4 at once) I only received credit for 1 item. I havesent about 30 emails and they will not respond, I give up. Don’t waste your time or money. Check the BBB and you’ll see all the complaints on this company. I wish I had done that. "
"I've been a reseller for 9 years now. Swap was my go-to place for designer items new with tags. Within the past year, they've completely fallen apart. So many items are mislabeled from the brand, to the size, size type, and condition. Then, they sell on multiple platforms. At least 1 item from every order will be, "unavailable" because they double sold it and you will see the refund 2-3 weeks later.
Their customer service barely exist. They blame Covid, new people, not enough people when something goes wrong. The customer service managers are very inept and have bad attitudes. They act like you're wrong for not being ok with waiting 8 business days for an answer to 1 simple email. They've actually made it so bad that I'm going back to thrifting for my inventory. Instead of stopping their constant sales or taking new orders so they can catch up or even reducing the number of platforms they're on; they keep expanding, keep having new sales every 3 days, and won't smarten up."
"I waited over three weeks for items that never shipped. Their phone numbers don't work. I left voicemails on random voicemail boxes to try to get a response and contacted them via email several times with no response. I week later I get a response asking me to wait 10 more days. That would what been more than a month after placing my order. When I asked them to cancel the order and refund my credit card, they said they couldn't because it was in process. I went to their fb page and there are a ton of reviews the same. Some people haven't gotten their orders since September. It looks as if they treat their sellers awful as well. So they are swindling sellers and buyers. "
"Sent in box of NICE brand name clothes-Juicy Couture, Joie and others. Ended up having to pay for pieces sent back that shouldn't have been. Ended up with $12 once done. Don't bother selling with them. Better to give clothes to a charity or sell yourself. Swap.com is a rip off for sellers if you want to make any money. It's only good for buyers and v sellers who don't care about how much they get."
"They Will Send you Clothing they claim is the size tagged, then the clothing is not, due to it having shrunk and then they will refuse to accept the clothing back.
Furthermore, they will send you pictures of clothing that hides the actual shape it is in and or does not accurately depict the color since the photos are not showing every angle of the article of clothing.
Beware of this Company!!"
"This company is an absolute joke! They will charge you to send them clothes, reject half, sell the other half for a nice amount and by the time they take out all their fees you won't even get back what you paid them to sell. They also don't issue payouts or take care of their customers. You are better off using Facebook or a garage sale to sell your clothes. "
"Product is basically trash, it arrived smelling like an old thrift shop, and most was not as described. I had to return most of my order and was only given a store credit. I spoke with two people in customer service and could NOT get a refund."
"This is a great site for buyers; resellers, go elsewhere. You will only receive pennies for items you submit. They charge a flat $11.95 to send in a box, then charge you a $4.95 fee for EACH item they sell over $8.01, PLUS 30% commission. This is a huge change from the Swap I've used in the past. They price way below other online retailers; though consistently charging over that $8.01 threshold. Buyers, you will love this site. Resellers-it will cost you more in time and fuel to get your box to the FedEx location than you will earn. You're better off donating clothes to charity and getting the tax receipt. Such a bummer. They used to be good. "
