"Overall I would recommend Swappa for buying used electronics. I find you can get a better deal than other places and have purchased several phones from there. I've had an issue with a phone not arriving in the condition listed, but Swappa was aware and the seller refunded me. Returns were a little unclear as it is totally up to the seller and buyer. Had to clarify with Swappa and print my own label, which the seller than reimbursed me for. Ease of use can largely depend on the seller if they are not cooperative though and if feel you are in the wrong and that might make it more tricky to get a return. I think Swappa should have a little more power at making sure refunds get made if needed."

Listings have to have valid and verifiable images in order to be approved. Swappa has seller and buyer resources so that anyone can easily understand what steps to take in certain situations in order to solve a problem."

"Phone was received exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Sellers are honest and upfront with their buyers and always communicate well. They even sometimes are willing to negotiate for a slightly lower price. The site itself imposes strict guidelines for sellers to list their phones for sale, so there’s little chance of being scammed or receiving a broken or blacklisted phone. Overall, very reliable and a great site to get amazing deals on a phone!"

"They advertise "Safe, friendly marketplace," but my one and only experience with them was a nightmare. I purchased a phone secondhand after reading mostly positive reviews online. I received a broken phone. I thought it would be an easy process to return and get my money back. It was anything but.

After the seller accused me of lying and breaking the phone, Swappa "Help" (if you can call them that) simply said we don't handle returns. Contact Paypal. I'm still awaiting refund from Paypal, after Swappa washed its hands clean of any responsibility. I have still not received the $10 refund Swappa charged.

I have purchased many electronic devices from Ebay sellers and never had any experience similar to Swappa's swamp. Stay FAR away from Swappa."

"Don't trust them unless you check the IMEI number yourself. They cannot verify anything. I got scammed from a seller who gave me a stolen/ blacklisted iphone. He refused to refund me. I contacted my bank and they said they will take long time for investigation. Swappa staff are horrible/ They don't help at all. All they said that they cannot refund me because they are not a perfect system so it is normal to have thieves and scammers on their website. I have everything documented. "
