Shipping Issue

"My apartment number was left off of my recent order. I went to go track my package online, and FedEx indicated: "Incorrect address, unable to deliver - Returning package to shipper - Please contact shipper/merchant for details." I contacted Swell immediately, and they said there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO, but wait until the items were returned to their warehouse (a full week) and then send it back to me 2-day.

My Post Office understandably will only deal with the shipper, so I suggested they contact them, providing the PO phone number, since Swell is the shipper and the package is literally sitting right down the road from me. They said they could not do this (?).

So, I suggested they reissue the order and ship it to me 2-day, since it was ALREADY PAID FOR, but they said they would not do this until the items were back in their warehouse or I could pay for a SECOND full order and they would refund me when the items were received back.

From a customer standpoint, this is really frustrating to me. First of all, Swell should have been the one to catch the problem and notify me that the apartment number was missing and advise me of any delay. Secondly, they can clearly see the package never made it here, so why not reissue a new order with the verifiable assumption that the original package is on its way back. They should have that tracking information.

From a company perspective, I can respect their desire to have the original items back in-house before issuing new ones, but this is not a customer-friendly way to do business. I've already paid for the items, they can track the return package, and I've spend hundreds of dollars with them, so they can see that I'm a loyal paying customer. I'm shocked that they would not do this for me under the circumstances over which I have no control.

So, considering their unwillingness to help me and the delay it will take to get my new items (1 additional week+), I have cancelled my order and requested a full refund. I requested a notification of cancellation, but they refused to send me one until they received the items back into their warehouse. Again, why not send your loyal paying customer (in fact a customer whose credit card has already been charged for an order not received) a simple notification that what we discussed is confirmed? Really shocking customer service.

Worst experience EVER!!!

"I ordered boots about 3 weeks ago. The last pair they had in my size. I wrote the wrong zip code and called to correct it. They failed to correct the zip code and therefore my boots were undeliverable and got returned!! I called bc it had been almost two weeks and no boots! They said when they received the boots back they would overnight them....more waiting! Well to my SURPRISE, I received an email saying they had refunded my credit card and were sorry to hear I wanted a refund. My God!!! I never asked for a refund in the first place! Time and effort wasted!!! I am so upset that after all that, I have no boots! My first and last time ordering from SWELL. Totally incompetent and disorganized company. Very dissasfied customer right here! "

A little bit difficult to contact them but very good price on sale

"After reading many feedbacks to this store, I gave up the idea to purchase from them. I sent 2 emails at customer service for confirmation on availability and size: no answer. After few days, there was a big sale on the parka, so I re send an email, no answer, then I tried the "live chat Swell" and I managed to have a commercial who confirmed all my request, so with confidence, I managed to purchase. I was delivered quickly. I am satisfied with my order to Swell but I advise to contact before ordering. I put 4 stars because they have not responded to my emails."

"Awful awful experience. I placed an order for my husband on 12/14/15 and it was shipped to the wrong address. I had to re-typ my shipping address three times which is why I know it was entered correctly. I realized it was being sent to the wrong address by the time I received my order confirmation. I called swell and was told once the package was received to the wrong address to call back and they would overnight it to me and I would be guaranteed to receive it by Christmas Eve. I called back once the day it was received and once again was told it would be overnighted so I would receive it by today. They did not full fill this promise and when I did not receive my package today (Christmas Eve) I called again and was told that no one ever told me it would be overnighted and instead I won't receive it until after the holidays. When I told the customer service representative what I had been told he said I was wrong and they would have never said that to anyone. I asked to speak to a manager and her said he was the manager and if I wanted to leave feedback I could email customer service.

Wow worst experience I've ever had alone with what happened with my delivery. And to be told I was wrong and hung up is just unacceptable. I will NEVER order from this company again. And to add to the troubles I had a hold time of a 10 mins minimum with each call.

"I ordered 2 swimsuits and their customer service was TERRIBLE. Unfortunately, I had to send them both back because they did not fit. A swimsuit is pretty tough to order online but I did love the patterns enough to take the risk. I sent them BOTH back in one package and they only refunded me for one and left a message for me to "check my car", as I didn't return both suits. How ridiculous! I tried them on, put them back in the bag exactly as I found them. Either someone in their processing department is a thief or they just look for ways to steal money from customers. I will not return to Swell ever again."

"I am not one to write reviews but I received TERRIBLE customer service from one specific woman with a slight accent. She was VERY rude and short with me and was not willing to help me in any way shape or form. If it was not for Cheryl (I think that was her name) who was incredibly sweet and helpful I would not be buying from swell any more. I hope that they read this and fire her immediately because they are probably losing a ton of customers because of her. "

"Worst customer service and worst company EVER. I ordered a pair of shoes, they were the wrong size. When I tried to return them, they wouldn't accept them because of a "damaged shoe box"!!!! What a pathetic excuse to keep my money. So now I not only paid for the shoe, the shipping, the return shipping, but the shipping back to me since they would otherwise discard it, hence taking both my shoes and my money! Customer service was unhelpful, basically kept saying it was my fault! Never shopping there again! "

"Customer service doesn't spend any effort being helpful and they're responses are unapologetic and short. After being a consistent repeat customer for over a year they were unwilling to be helpful in a simple situation where it nearly cost me more to return an item than what I paid for. Is it really so hard to share a discount code or something to fix the issue? No longer a problem though, I haven't bought a single thing from Swell since."

"WORST COMPANY EVER. I recently ordered 2 dresses from them and had not ordered anything from them in OVER a year. After completed the order i received an email that my package had been sent to my boyfriends old address in another state. I called at 7am when swell opened the next morning and was charged ANOTHER fee to have the order correctly rerouted. I received an email from the woman i spoke with on the phone saying everything was handled and that it will still be delivered on time which was all a LIE. I was sent multiple shipping trackment numbers which i realized none work. I still have not been refunded the rerouting fee even though it was not rerouted. I was on hold with Swell for over 45 minutes and the man i spoke with would not give me his last name, and was very rude and saying that the issue was my fault. Then after he was no help and he transferred me to a voicemail I called back to try once again and I was told to RELAX. Not professional and horribly rude workers. Never want to spend another cent there. They cannot even guarantee me a refund until they pick up the package. My boyfriend moved out 9 months ago and we have no clue who lives there now. Especially since we live in TN and the package was sent to North Carolina. Awful customer service, awful company. "

"Swell's customer service is HORRIBLE. My boyfriend ordered a watch for me for our anniversary. The website showed that there was ONLY 1 LEFT IN STOCK. So he bought it right away. He gets an invoice sent to his email, all is good. Days go by and he decides to check on it and shipping status. He doesn't get an email from Swell about delivery so he calls them and they say "Oh there was an error with our website and we are out of stock". This is crazy to me that my boyfriend had to contact them to figure this out. They tell him his account isn't charged and the end. They don't try and make up for their mistake or even give a discount for another watch he might get, nothing. I'm just not impressed. "

"My second time ordering here, they offer great sales through their mailing list. When I ordered in the past, didn't like a sweater so I returned it and I was refunded about 2 weeks later via PayPal. This time, ordered two shorts on June 19, 2013, it came within 2 days (I live in Los Angeles and this company is located in California). I didn't have any issues with swell. "I purchased a single item from Swell using PayPal on May 10 which included free economy shipping. The estimated shipping date was May 11 with an estimated delivery date of May 15, 2012 - May 22, 2012. I checked the website several times after the order date and the product was still listed on the site. On May 21st I still had not received the item and hadn't gotten any emails from Swell. It was after business hours when I emailed asking if the item shipped. On the afternoon of the 23rd I got this response: "I show this item been sold out, I apologize we were not able to grab this item for you." They of course offered me a different product, but I wasn't interested. Within 5 minutes of receiving the email, I responded and told them to cancel and refund my money. 2 more days later, I received another email that they would issue the refund and to expect it in 1-3 business days. I received the refund to my PayPal account the same day.

The only satisfactory part of the ordeal (once my order was placed) was the quick refund to my PayPal account.
