"I joined an event where I would have access to purchase the new Christmas line before the general public. I RSVPed yes, I received text messages, and emails, etc. The day of the event I follow the link (I was sent via text), I go to purchase a swimsuit, and I am told that I cannot because I’m not a member. I joined this event specifically to have access to purchase this Christmas line ahead of time. It’s very misleading to invite people to a special event, tell them they can purchase things, and then when they try to they get roped into purchasing a membership. If that’s the case, then the event should have been a members only event. It’s fine… I purchased the membership , but I had not intended to do so thinking that RSVPing was sufficient enough. When I called to question why I was unable to purchase a swimsuit and employee named Robin assisted me. She was very nice however we kept talking over each other. I would ask a question and in the middle of me asking a question she would try to answer so there was a lot of us talking over each other. I’m quite certain that she was frustrated/annoyed with me, I could tell by the tone of her voice. Also, in the past when trying to purchase swimsuits online, I would use promotion codes, and without fail, I would put in the promotion code, I would see my discount, and then when I would go make my payment the total would readjust back to the original total (with no promotional discount shown). This has happened numerous times and I have yet to find someone who can help me understand why this is happening."
