"TC Computers biggest flaw is that they won't assemble a computer, they can only ship it to you in parts, they can intergrate the CPU and memory onto the motherboard, but that's it, they "drop ship" the other items, including hard drives, video, and you have to mount the motherboard to the case YOURSELF, good luck for novice users. They claim it's some legal technicality, but I think it's a big pain in the arse. Too bad they won't find a way to rectify this situation, go to Envision instead."

"Since TC sold out their service after the sale has become pretty much none existent, at least in my case anyway! I purchased a motherboard and processor combo with a three year warranty. When the board went bad after only two months they would replace it. Even though they still sold the motherboard I originally ordered, I was sent a $37 cheaper "junk" board. I was told their warranty only covers an item of equal performance, not replacement. The board wasn't equal by any means! On another occassion I was sent a defective board that took over three months after they received it to get my money back on, only after numerous phone calls and e-mails, and threats. I still have 256MB of PC100 that they won't relace, when I paid for PC133. STAY AWAY!!!"

Placed an order on 13th, Ordered 2 mother boards plus other items. order shipped without MB Called early on 14th told the'll go out that day. Called back told them no MB's "oh where out of stock" Had 52 when I ordered.
Raised cain told they where being drop shipped will have them buy 16 before 10:30 am. Mean while site still indicating they had not been shipped. called 16 aug 02 11:30 am then they said "Oh they wern't shipped" I said " Oh I guess you don't have mandatory drug testing there " cancelled the order ordered through different vendor rated high on this site. "I ordered a TDK VeloCD burner from them and my order was processed and shipped out within 24 hours. I received it within 3 days of the purchase!! I was very satisfied with TC Computers and wil use them again next time i buy."

"I have been dealing with TC for 3 years now. Everytime I upgrade my processor and motherboard they are the first place I head. I like how they show the quantity in stock right under the add to cart button! Every problem I have had with products from them has been handled to my satisfaction so far. "

"Their prices may not be the best, but I strongly suggest buying from them, if and only if you plan to buy an OEM CPU + motherboard combo. OEM CPU's usually come with no warranty, but when you add in the CPU integration from TC Computers at no extra cost, you get two years warranty for the motherboard and CPU. With their high prices, I had to pay the same amount for a OEM CPU + retail motherboard as if I had bought a retail CPU and a retail motherboard elsewhere (Googlegear and such). And you would get 3 years warranty for a retail CPU, but only 1 year for the motherboard. This 2 year warranty for motherboard really came in handy because I had to get it replaced *twice*, since it got fried twice.

Their tech service isn't exactly top notch, with long on-hold periods, but they get the job done. Hey, I got my motherboard replaced with newer model with more features (RAID, USB networking, ATA100) since they no longer carried the old model. What can I say, they made my day.

Oh, btw, their offering CPU-integration at no extra cost is really nice since most other places like Directron charge extra for such things.

So check it out, it might up your alley if you're on the look out for a cpu+motherboard comb, but for anything else look elsewhere (Newegg comes highly recommended)."

"I saw a deal on a bargin site. I order the Volcano 7+ from them over 2 months ago, which went for $25.99 shipped. The only thing I got from them is a bill for items I never even bought and I haven't been to their site for about a month now. My advice stay away, very far away."

"TC Computers ran a great deal on the new Volcano 7+ HSF. On 19 March I ordered one for $17.99. The invoice stated: Your order is expected to ship no later than: 03/24/02
I suspect the demand was greater than expected, so they have been delaying shipment time after time. Speculation again, but I suppose they figure everyone will eventually give up and cancel.
Well, I'm in no hurry for it, so I'm not canceling! I am, however, not going to ever shop at TCC again.

Oh yeah, they have not responded to any of the emails I sent asking questions about the lack of order fulfillment"

"Hello, I ordered a hardrive and had TC computers order me a graphics card that was not on the market yet. The reason I ordered from them was the price and they were the only site at the time I could find that listed the graphics card. My hardrive arrived very fast and I knew I would have to wait a while for the graphics card. I called them on the phone to inquire if they knew when the card would come in and the person on the phone was very friendly and told me the exact day it would arrive at their warehouse, So on that day I checked my order status and sure enough my card was shipped. I like their feature that you can check to see if your order has been shipped and they give you a tracking number so you can follow it. I've ordered several things from them in the past, including CPUs, motherboards, video cards, memory, hard drives, etc. Only problem I've ever had was when they had misreported their stock of an item, and when they got new ones in they upgraded my shipping to overnight. "Sometimes TC is good, and sometimes they're not. I mean they sell high quality products at really good prices. However their staff is not knowledgeable at all. If you order something, they'll get it to you, but if it doesn't work, your fudged. I've done so many RMAs with this company it's not even funny. And only because they have the newest Abit boards at low prices. If you get a motherboard that works, this is the best place to buy motherboards. Otherwise don't think about going here. "

Notice that 2 weeks after I placed an order for in stock product it still hasn't shipped and the dates keep getting changed.
We quit buying from these guys in the past for poor service and it hasn't changed."
