"I am living in the United States. My order was more than 200$. I checked my credit card and I was charged for 6$ more due to foreign transaction fee!!!!! which I was not informed about.
There was another surprise. I sent the package to Canada where my girlfriend is living. I did not have any idea that I had to pay IMPORT TAX!!!!!!!
I am living in US and I paid for the package and I sent it as a gift to her. She had to pay 50$ to get the package. Can you believe that? In order to get your gift, you have to pay 50$?!!!!! That was insane. I talked to the “Tidebuy” customer service couple of times and UPS in Canada. UPS said “Tidebuy” should call us and probably we can do something about it. But nothing happened at the end and we paid the 50$ import tax. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE IMPORT TAXES. “Tidebuy” was not either helpful or compensate part of the loss. They should have notified me about the import tax during the checkout process when I entered the shipping address.
Last time when I talked to “Tidebuy” customer service, they said I can return the package, then again pay the shipping fee so they can send it to me in the US so I do not have to pay for the import tax. What a generous offer!!!!!! Am I look dumb or something????!!!! They did not even offer a free shipping; man, that’s insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
