"there have been ups and downs with the school. Although i am never concerned for my child's safety, or the education they are receiving, its the high staff turnover and lack of coverage that is concerning. Our children's current teachers are exemplary and our children really do enjoy going. Staff has always been really friendly despite being stretched thin."
"Generally positive but this most recent round of staffing changes has been concerning and disruptive."
"Expensive for what we get. Site is dirty and worn, communication can be poor. Price increases come without war"
"nothing has stayed consistent since we have been there. not sure if thats common in the childcare world.... but no one. no one. sticks around here. new faces to learn EVERY time we come back. the high turnover/lack of care is expected in other work places. but i dont expect to see at childcare facilities.... again, most/all issues have been with management. i dont interact with teachers much but we only hear great things from our kido, and they are always nice when we pick up/drop off."
"Overall positive. We are very happy with our teacher(s) and our child looks forward to seeing them. We can tell they care about our child. Facilities seem a little dated compared to others under the company umbrella which may contribute to some impressions of cleanliness. Have had some instances of clothing stains at pick up and when sending a bib for use with our child at meals, it appears they are not being utilized."
"Constant turnover of the center director/management. Teachers or caregivers are constantly changing. Less mature staff that does not stay long term."
"The staff is very friendly and helpful."
"Our experience here has been awesome. We've only been at this location about a year, but transferred here from another tutortime when we moved, and transferred to that tutortime from a childtime when the childtime closed. Each location has been phenomenal."
"Friendly and caring staff is the best perk. Others I visited, staff and leaders all seemed burnt out. I do think organization is a little lacking and documentation. Things get missed a lot."
"Lack of consistency. Filthy!!"
"Not enough care providers and a lot of staff turnover. It is in a nicer area of Grand Rapids."
"I have seen dramatic growth in my preschool aged son in the 6 months he has attended Tutor Time. He comes home talking about his friends, spelling words, and with gains in independence with dressing and self-feeding. Both of my sons enjoy the meals and snacks provided and are more willing to try new foods at school than they are at home. The staff are friendly and caring - they make a point to greet parents at both drop off and pick up. I am also thankful for the Sproutabout app which allows me livestream my sons throughout the day and receive feedback from their teachers on how their days are going. It helps me get through my work day knowing that they are learning and playing happily."
"High staff turnover, hard to know what to expect. Concern about some staff not understanding how to care for children in a developmentally appropriate way."
"High leadership turnover, I believe we are now on our 4th or 5th school director since 2018. Quality has dropped. My oldest was taught sign language as a baby, the youngest has not been introduced to it at all. My youngest has been forced to move up to the next class although she is not ready for Tods."
"It seems like the people all care about children. Many staff members do not seem trained in early childhood development and therefore some children struggle social emotionally, as adult support is needed when they are young. They send tons of updates on my child throughout the day, but I would rather them engage with the children then type up everything on an iPad. They also need to rethink how the morning drop off time works, as they are regularly out of ratio and the teacher is frantically writing down information and signing kids into an app instead of engaging with the children as they arrive. Leadership has changed several times since my child began attending and the staff morale seems to keep going down with each change."
