"Not great teachers. Not very friendly, didn't follow through on routines/care that we wrote down for their daily schedule. Why did we even write a schedule if teachers always had excuses as why this that or the other thing couldn't happen? Dirty....Not sure enough is done with the kids for experiences. I think the teachers just meet their basic needs and ride it low key rather than education and engagement. Or maybe they just didn't like us. We were rarely greeted first upon arrival and would stand akwardly in the room until we said hi."

"There is like a new teacher in the room everyday (maybe high turnover?) so our child makes very few connections with any of the adults. It feels like we had to spend so much time filling out paperwork about diet and nap habits, but it seems like no one took the time to read our notes… and it was hard to communicate with the teachers these concerns because there was a different person almost everyday and you didn’t know if they would relay the message. It seems like they never did."

"Everything has been great! So much so, that although we are tight financially, solely due to daycare, I decided to get a second job working on the weekends so we can keep our daughter enrolled. There was a game the kids played with selecting emotions that had faces of people. I felt the person of color tended to reflect negative emotions. I’d encourage the school/programs to watch for unconscious bias or instead of using different people/races in the photos use animals."
